Nikola Jokic Named the One NBA Rookie Who Reminds Him of Himself

Nikola Jokic is off to a historic start in his eleventh NBA season. 16 games into the regular season, the all-time great center is averaging career highs in points, rebounds, and assists while shooting at a staggering efficiency.

Jokic has one of his best supporting casts around him, which makes the Denver Nuggets, on paper, the most significant threat to an Oklahoma City Thunder repeat.

So far, that projection looks accurate. David Adelman's team is now 12-4 and has already recorded several impressive wins this season. And that start is primarily thanks to their franchise GOAT, who is the early favorite for league MVP.

“You Can’t Do This When You Up”: Paul Pierce Defends Derik Queen, Gives Clarification on Unwritten Rule of Basketball

Time crunch?Get all your NBA news here in just 60 words

Derik Queen recently went viral for breaking one of basketball’s biggest unwritten rules. The New Orleans Pelicans rookie decided to steal the ball as the Atlanta Hawks were dribbling out the clock in an already decided game. Not only that, but Queen dunked the ball emphatically just before time expired, prompting a heated exchange between him and the Hawks’ bench.

No one knows the consequences of these unwritten rules better than veterans who have played in the NBA for over a decade and have seen it all. Paul Pierce, a Hall of Famer, weighed in on the controversy created by Queen, responding to former star Danny Green’s take on the ordeal on the No Fouls Given podcast.

Nikola Jokić Impressed By Derik Queen's 30-point Performance on Wednesday

This may not come as a shocker, but Derik Queen had another career night Wednesday evening. Against one of the top teams and best players in the NBA, Queen had a memorable night scoring a new career-high 30 points in a 125-118 loss against the Denver Nuggets.

Queen shot 12-of-18 from the floor, knocking down one three, and 5-of-8 from the free-throw line. He also grabbed nine rebounds, dished out four assists, and had two steals and two blocks.

Wednesday marked his eighth double-digit point outing of his young career, in his third consecutive start. Despite the low-scoring outputs in the past three contests, Queen bounced back with a statement game.

Timberwolves vs. Kings Prediction, Odds and Best NBA Prop Bets for Monday, Nov. 24

Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves are 7-3 in their last 10 games, and they’re favored on the road against the Sacramento Kings on Monday.

The Kings are coming off arguably their best win of the 2025-26 season, knocking off the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night to win their fourth game of the season. That win came without Domantas Sabonis, who is out multiple weeks with a torn meniscus.

So, it’s not a surprise that the Kings are home dogs against a Minnesota frontcourt that features Julius Randle, Naz Reid and Rudy Gobert.

These teams have already played multiple times this season with the Wolves winning by 27 on the road and 14 at home in an NBA Cup clash.

Jock Landale injury update: Memphis Grizzlies center leaves game vs Mavs

Memphis Grizzlies center Jock Landale will not return against the Dallas Mavericks due to neck soreness, the team announced.

Landale left the game on Nov. 22 at American Airlines Center in the first quarter after experiencing pain in his neck. He went to the locker room and was ruled out during halftime.

Without Landale, the Grizzlies have just one center available. They already are without Jaren Jackson Jr. and Brandon Clarke. Those two would be next in line at center. The Grizzlies had waived PJ Hall to make room for Jahmai Mashack because of the lack of depth at point guard.

Home » Trending » Memphis Grizzlies injury update: Jock Landale leaves game vs Mavs

In a significant setback for the Memphis Grizzlies, center Jock Landale has been ruled out for the remainder of the game against the Dallas Mavericks due to neck soreness, the team confirmed. Landale, who exited early in the first quarter, reported discomfort that led him to seek medical attention in the locker room. By halftime, it was clear he would not be returning to the court.

With Landale sidelined, the Grizzlies face a challenging situation as they currently have only one center available for play. This comes at a time when the team is already grappling with the absence of key players Jaren Jackson Jr. and Brandon Clarke, both of whom would ordinarily serve as primary options at the center position.

Eight intriguing NBA games are on the menu Sunday. Injuries, even this early into the hoops marathon, play an integral part in most matchups.

The day opens with the Philadelphia 76ers hosting the Miami Heat in a South Philly matinee. The 76ers won't have Joel Embiid or backup center Adem Bona in the lineup, Kelly Oubre Jr. is out and rookie star V.J. Edgecombe is questionable with a calf issue. We know Miami won't have Tyler Herro, among others.

Peter’s Points: NBA Best Bets Today (Predictions, Prop Bets for Steph Curry, Alperen Sengun, Pistons, Nuggets)

Thanksgiving Week is a huge one in the NBA this season, as there are three nights of NBA Cup Group Play (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday) in addition to a massive 10-game slate on Monday night.

Several contenders are in action on Monday, as the Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, Houston Rockets, New York Knicks, Minnesota Timberwolves and Cleveland Cavaliers will all take the floor.

I have bets across the slate on Nov. 24, including a prop bet for Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry as he looks to get his team back on track as a major favorite against the Utah Jazz.

Hearing AC/DC’s Thunderstruck played live answers a question you kind of already knew the answer to: yes, it sounds absolutely incredible in a stadium with around 70,000 people doing the “ah-ah, ah ah ah” bits. But when it’s played five songs in, it poses a more difficult question to answer: what are the band going to play as a final song now they’ve gone and ticked off what should be an obvious choice for a concert closer?

Travel Chaos to Unfold Across Australia Over an Event: What You Need to Know

AC/DC’s final concert in Sydney has sparked an important travel advisory as authorities prepare for the massive crowds expected to descend upon Sydney Olympic Park. With around 70,000 fans making their way to the iconic venue, concerns about heavy traffic and transportation delays have led to calls for fans to prioritize public transport in order to avoid gridlock.

The Transport for NSW Coordinator-General, Howard Collins, has issued a clear message to concertgoers: public transport should be the preferred mode of travel to Sydney Olympic Park. He emphasized the importance of planning ahead to avoid the expected traffic delays, especially during the busy Tuesday evening peak hour. Collins pointed out that large crowds traveling to the park during this time could exacerbate congestion, particularly for those coming from outside Sydney.
