    A UK car dealer who has spent years selling Ferraris, McLarens and Rolls-Royce has just completed the strangest delivery of his career to British comedian Jimmy Carr.

    The job involved tight deadlines, unexpected problems, and a customer who most people would expect to drive something far more exotic.

    After years of working with high-end performance cars, the car dealer admitted he never imagined one of his most talked-about deliveries would involve something as silly as what he ended up delivering.

    What was finally delivered to the funny man certainly put the ‘car’ in Jimmy Carr.

    Big Fat Quiz of the Year viewers left 'disgusted' as Channel 4 told 'do better'

    Fans of Big Fat Quiz of the Year 2025 have heavily criticised the programme after artificial intelligence was incorporated into a comedic segment.

    Within minutes of the show beginning, viewers urged Channel 4 to "do f***ing better" following a joke that left many feeling "disgusted".

    This year's Big Fat Quiz of the Year featured host Jimmy Carr alongside comedians Katherine Ryan, Roisin Conaty, Jonathan Ross, Nick Mohammed, Lou Sanders and Richard Ayoade.

    Early in the programme, Jimmy and his fellow panellists revisited a social media phenomenon where users employed AI to generate Barbie doll versions of themselves complete with frequently-used accessories.

    Officers found two men, aged 20 and 18, with serious stab wounds, and they were taken to hospital.

    Ashton Turner entered one of the BBL's unluckiest clubs as he helped revive Perth's season in leading the Scorchers to a 71-run win over the Sydney Thunder.

    After coming to the wicket with the visitors 3-34 in the sixth over, Turner blasted an unbeaten 99 to take his side to 8-202 at Engie Stadium.

    The Thunder were then bowled out for 131 in the 18th over with a hot start from David Warner (25) and Matthew Gilkes (33) doing little to set up the chase.

    Ashton Turner was left stuck unbeaten on a career-best 99 as the Perth Scorchers romped to a 71-run victory against the Sydney Thunder at Engie Stadium to jump to third place on the BBL table.

    Scorchers skipper Turner struck eight sixes and eight fours in his blistering 41-ball knock to guide the visitors to 8/202 after walking to the crease at 3/34.

    The Thunder needed to produce a record chase at their home ground and appeared as if they would give it a good shake as they raced to 0/60 before crumbling to 131 all out.

    Matthew Gilkes and Sam Konstas combine for epic catch as Ashton Turner powers Scorchers to big win

    Ashton Turner joined one of the Big Bash’s unluckiest clubs as he helped revive Perth’s season, his unbeaten 99 leading the Scorchers to a 71-run win over the Sydney Thunder.

    After coming to the wicket with the visitors 3-34 in the sixth over, Turner became just the fourth player in BBL history to be stranded on 99no as he took his side to 8-202 at ENGIE Stadium.

    The Thunder were then bowled out for 131 in reply in the 18th over, with the hosts unable to capitalise on a hot start from David Warner (25) and Matthew Gilkes (33).

    Turner’s massive innings overshadowed a catch of the tournament contender. On the final ball of the Scorchers’ first innings, Matthew Gilkes and Sam Konstas combined brilliantly on the rope to remove Joel Paris for a golden duck.

    Welcome to a very special year-end edition of Trust Me, I Watch Everything. My name is Brett Arnold, and I'm a film critic and host of Roger & Me, a weekly Siskel & Ebert-style movie review show. Today, I'm counting down the best films of 2025 that you may not have heard of.

    I watched more than 500 new movies this year, and you can find my top 25 picks here. But I also wanted to shout out some unsung films that are still very much worth your time. They may have flown under the radar, but they deserve a watch.

    Eva Mendes is giving fans a rare look at life in the U.K. after she and Ryan Gosling left the United States.

    Mendes, 51, shared a video on Wednesday, December 31, of her outside with her and Gosling’s dogs as they enjoyed an afternoon stroll in their yard. The actress walked around a fenced area showing off her matching blue sweater and skirt set as the pups played in the background.

    “When you’re testing how your fit walks but the important things in life remind you how silly it all is. 💙,” she captioned the Instagram clip. “Lucho & Magic por vida 💙.”

    You have just days to watch Tom Hanks' "superb and witty" '90s classic as it leaves UK streamer

    Forrest Gump, the “superb and witty” 1990s classic starring Tom Hanks, is leaving a UK streamer very soon. Directed by Robert Zemeckis, the film stars Hanks in the titular role as an innocent-natured man as he navigates some major events in US history.

    Joining Hanks on the cast is Sally Field, who plays his loving mother Mrs Gump, and Robin Wright, who stars as Forrest's childhood love interest Jenny.

    First released in 1994, the logline of the film reads: "A gentle, friendly man navigates a series of extraordinary events, all while inspiring those around him with his perpetual optimism."

    Forrest Gump is set to leave Netflix on 4 January, meaning fans of the film with a subscription to the streaming service have just days left to watch.

    Nikhil Chaudhary makes swift recovery from concerning shoulder injury to help Hurricanes to BBL victory

    Hobart Hurricanes star Nikhil Chaudhary caused a stoppage to his side's BBL clash with the Melbourne Renegades after going down injured following a dropped catch.

    The Renegades were 3-80 when Ollie Peake hit Rishad Hossain to the mid-wicket boundary with Chaudhary running back to try and dismiss him.

    Chaudhary couldn't take the ball cleanly as it went for six before he landed heavily on his shoulder.

    The 29-year-old stayed down clutching at his shoulder in the aftermath before laying flat on the grass.

    A long stoppage followed as medical staff attended to Chaudhary. He was then assisted from the field, still holding his right shoulder.

    The squads for the New Year’s Day double-header will be confirmed around 5pm AEDT.

    The Melbourne Renegades will host the Sydney Sixers at Marvel Stadium. The Hobart Hurricanes face the Perth Scorchers with Hobart coach Jeff Vaughan speaking to the media on Wednesday, flagging Nikhil Chaudhary is no certainty to play after a shoulder worry.

    Vaughan said: “The crowd would’ve seen Nik Chaudhary go down with a shoulder. We’ll work through that today, through training and give him as much time needed tomorrow. We’re pretty confident that he’ll play. But middle of the tournament, there’s always going to be some niggles. We’ll just work through that. We feel as though we’ve got some really good back-up. Our 12th to 18th player is really quite strong as well.”

    The Australian star can be seen back in the role of the God of Thunder, praying to his late father, the Norse god Odin.

    "Lend me the strength of the All-fathers, so that I may fight once more, defeat one more enemy, and return home to her," he says in the trailer.
