Tottenham have beaten Coventry City 3-1 at home for their first win of the season to climb off the bottom of the Premier League table.

James Maddison's sublime strike against his boyhood club 14 minutes into the game on Monday (Tuesday AEDT) put Spurs in the driving seat.

Coventry equalised early in the second half, but Omar Marmoush's curling shot put the home side ahead again, and Ben Davies sealed all three points in stoppage time.

Hanson apologises for cartoon mocking Lambie's vaginal prolapse

Pauline Hanson says she has asked the creator of the cartoon to change the episode mocking Jacqui Lambie's condition. (ABC News: Matt Roberts)

Pauline Hanson has apologised for a One Nation cartoon mocking senator Jacqui Lambie's vaginal prolapse, a day after telling her to "get over it".

Senator Hanson said she spoke with the cartoon's creator after widespread criticism from politicians and said that it would be changed.

The One Nation leader will take a "closer look" at future "Please Explain" videos.

Pauline Hanson has apologised for the One Nation cartoon mocking independent senator Jacqui Lambie's vaginal prolapse, stating it will be changed following widespread criticism.

Jacqui Lambie has spoken out about vaginal prolapse. What is it – and how common is it?

Health condition remains stigmatised, despite affecting almost 50% of women who have been pregnant

The Tasmanian senator Jacqui Lambie has previously spoken out about her experience of vaginal prolapse and the financial burden military veterans can face in accessing treatment for it. On Monday, Labor and crossbenchers expressed their support for the senator, as she condemned a recent One Nation cartoon that mocked her for having the condition.

The chief executive of national women’s health nonprofit Jean Hailes, Dr Sarah White, said mockery of a health condition like vaginal prolapse was “absolutely not OK”.

“We just don’t talk about things like vaginal prolapse when we need to. So this sort of stigmatising, ridiculing of someone’s health condition is just ghastly,” White said.

Hamilton apologises to Ferrari as Antonelli moves to brink of title

'They've thrown away a double podium' – what went wrong for Hamilton?

Lewis Hamilton apologised to his Ferrari team after overriding the pit wall and choosing his own strategy during the Singapore Grand Prix.

Ferrari were on course to finish second and third with Charles Leclerc and Hamilton, but instead the seven-time champion fell back to sixth in the closing laps as he fought a losing battle to hold off three cars while on fading tyres.

Hamilton apologised to the team over the radio on the slowing-down lap after the race, saying: "Sorry, boys. I let you down today with that strategy. My call, and I lost us valuable points. I'll try and make up for it in the next one."

‘Tell me!’ Piastri calls out team in heated radio moment … before pointed Norris gesture

Oscar Piastri got the chance to vent some of a year’s worth of frustration on his McLaren team in Singapore, with a heated radio exchange summing up his mood as he attempted to pass Lewis Hamilton in the closing laps.

But the Australian’s dire run of ill luck continued as he completed another challenging weekend by settling for fifth following a chaotic Grand Prix.

Piastri came in one spot behind Lando Norris, as the latter finally issued an apology for his role in the friendly fire crash that saw his McLaren teammate need to retire from the sprint race.

‘A painful lesson’: Hamilton accepts fault for costly strategy error

The two sides of the Ferrari garage had two very different emotions at the end of the Singapore Grand Prix as Lewis Hamilton’s own mistake cost the team a double podium finish.

Charles Leclerc narrowly missed out on victory to a resurgent Max Verstappen and finished second.

Hamilton’s day ended in horribly, as the veteran accepted “full responsibility” for a costly decision to stay out on old tyres to try to make a strategy gamble work.

After starting in third, Hamilton’s rash decision didn’t pay off and the 41-year-old ended the race in sixth place, behind the two McLaren drivers.

MCC apologises for Lord’s Test pitch after Stokes criticises ‘extreme conditions’

The MCC has apologised for the quality of the Lord’s pitch prepared for the opening game of the series against New Zealand, after the venue’s showpiece 150th Test became its first since 1888 to feature fewer than 1,000 legal deliveries. England wrapped up victory over the tourists by 115 runs shortly before lunch on the fourth day. But for the frequent and lengthy interruptions for rain it would have ended on the second.

Ben Stokes also criticised “extreme conditions” that “are not going to help the game”, with unpredictable bounce and prodigious movement off the seam leading to the breaking of the English record for the most batters being dismissed either lbw or bowled, with only two half-centurions and just nine of the 40 innings lasting 20 balls or more.

Lord’s pitch hits near-record low as Bazball resets

England wrapped up a 115-run victory over New Zealand before lunch on day four of the first Test at Lord’s on Sunday, marking a positive start to its “Bazball” reset after the Ashes humiliation Down Under.

Resuming on 5-55 and requiring 254 for an unlikely win, New Zealand lost its remaining five wickets inside the first two hours of play and was dismissed for 138.

AFL apologises as Butters case is dismissed due to juror misconduct

PORT Adelaide superstar Zak Butters has had his umpire abuse charge thrown out by the AFL Appeal Board after it was ruled a panel member's decision to listen to part of the original Tribunal hearing from his car was a "miscarriage of justice".

And the AFL has apologised to both Butters and umpire Nick Foot, saying it will now "reflect" on the outcome of the case and take lessons from it, while the Power has doubled down on its call for the Tribunal process to be reviewed.

Butters was fined $1500 by the AFL Tribunal last Tuesday for abusing field umpire Foot during the Power's loss to St Kilda in round five.

The AFL has apologised for the inconvenience caused to all parties after a tribunal decision to fine Zak Butters for abusive language against umpire Nick Foot was thrown out on appeal.

Butters was fined $1,500 for using abusive and offensive language after Foot paid a free kick against the Power in their loss to St Kilda at Adelaide Oval.

Foot said Butters asked him, "How much are they paying you?". Butters denied saying this and his club said the star midfielder had been branded a liar.
