That creates a situation that is inconvenient at best and disastrous at worst, requiring extensive cleanup along the way. It's often said that you shouldn't cry over spilled milk, but that rule certainly doesn't apply to Gatorade at the Super Bowl.

The winning coach, Mike Macdonald or Mike Vrabel, will almost certainly find himself drenched in the popular sports drink, meaning sports bettors have found a way to put down some money on the tradition. You can bet on just about everything at the Super Bowl and Super Bowl 60 is no different.

Football fans are betting on the Gatorade shower color. What color was it?

The Super Bowl is built on tradition. Cracking open a beer, demolishing a plate of wings with friends, filling out Super Bowl Squares, and at this point, betting on the color of the Gatorade shower.

Thanks to the widespread legalization of sports betting and the explosion of prop bets in the U.S., you can now wager on just about anything. Over the past few years, one of the strangest traditions to become fully normalized is betting on the postgame Gatorade dunk, when the winning team douses its head coach in the fluorescent sports drink.

You can currently place wagers on events far more serious than a locker-room celebration, including ongoing global conflicts. Against that backdrop, guessing the color of a sugary sports drink feels almost quaint. Last year, the winning color was yellow at +250 odds, even though purple was the favorite at +175, according to DraftKings via the New York Post.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain Smriti Mandhana won the toss and opted to bowl in the WPL 2026 final against Delhi Capitals (DC) in Vadodara. Both teams were unchanged.

Mandhana pointed to chasing being the trend in the tournament as the reason behind her decision. Including the final, only once in 22 matches in this tournament has the team winning the toss chosen to bat first. DC captain Jemimah Rodrigues said she wanted to bowl first too, but felt it was "better to lose the toss in such games".

South Africa welcomed Quinton de Kock, Tristan Stubbs, Marco Jansen and Anrich Nortje back to their XI for the second T20I after resting them two days ago as they look to close out the series against West Indies. The quartet replace Lhuan-dre Pretorius, Rubin Hermann, Corbin Bosch and George Linde as South Africa look to finalise their T20 World Cup starting XI.

Concerningly, Lungi Ngidi misses a second match despite being available and this being his domestic home ground. Ngidi was seen with heavy strapping during Sunday's SA20 final but there has been no update on his fitness. Kwena Maphaka keeps his place in the XI, which means South Africa have two left-arm seamers in the team. Conditions on the Highveld often call for just one spinner and Keshav Maharaj has been preferred over George Linde.

Captain steers South Africa to success against the Windies

The two sides are meeting in a three-match series in South Africa ahead of the Men's T20 World Cup

South Africa captain Aiden Markram has scored an unbeaten 86 ‍to help his side to a nine-wicket win over the West Indies in the first Twenty20 of their three-match series.

South Africa chased down the Windies' score of 7-173 at Boland Park, securing a comfortable victory with 13 balls to spare as both sides ‌prepare for next month's T20 World Cup.

Markram's runs came off ‍47 balls and he was ably supported by Ryan Rickelton, who made 40 for an unbeaten second-wicket partnership of 93.

Shimron Hetmyer was the top scorer for the Windies, coming in at six to hit a brisk 48 off 32 balls and feature in a 74-run stand with Rovman Powell that ‍saw the tourists post a decent target.

World Cup warning as Windies smashed after Proteas captain’s career-best demolition

The South African captain hit nine fours and three sixes in a career-best 86 not out off 47 balls as the hosts chased down a competitive West Indian total of 173 for seven with 13 balls to spare.

South Africa fielded four seamers and two spinners as they began their final T20 World Cup 2026 preparation with most of their first choice players.

Lhuan-dre Pretorius was carded to open the batting with Aiden Markram, with Ryan Rickelton slotted in at No.3. Jason Smith was given the opportunity to play the finishing role with David Miller out of the series with a groin injury.

Shai Hope missed out for West Indies due to a groin niggle, while Shamar Joseph also did not find a spot in the playing XI.

South Africa to rest trio in first Twenty20 International against West Indies

South Africa will be without the victorious Sunrisers Eastern Cape trio of Quinton de Kock, Marco Jansen and Tristan Stubbs when they start their T20 International series against the West Indies in Paarl on Tuesday.

The players have been given permission to skip the first game of the series after helping their side to the SA20 title with victory over the Pretoria Capitals in the final at Newlands on Saturday.

Wicketkeeper-batter Lhuan-dre Pretorius and seamer Eathan Bosch have been called into the squad for the match at Boland Park only.

The Sunrisers trio will be back for the second and third games on Thursday and Saturday respectively.

Suryakumar Yadav won the toss in the third T20I against New Zealand in Guwahati, and elected to bowl first with dew expected to play a role. India were looking to close out the five-match series after having won the first two games. They were gunning for an 11th series or tournament win in a row, which includes the T20 World Cup 2024 and the Asia Cup 2025.

India made two changes, giving rest to Varun Chakravarthy and Arshdeep Singh. They brought in Jasprit Bumrah and Ravi Bishnoi, who last played for India in February 2025. It meant Axar Patel, who cut his index finger during the first T20I, continued to sit out. In the absence of a communication from the BCCI, it might be safe to assume it might be more preventive than forced.

Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bowl in search of a 3-0 series win against West Indies in Dubai. Having already sealed the series 2-0, Afghanistan rang in three changes. They swapped out Azmatullah Omarzai, Noor Ahmad and Fazalhaq Farooqi for allrounder Shahidullah Kamal, fast bowler Ziaur Rahman Sharfi and medium-pacer Abdollah Ahmadzai.

As for West Indies, they handed opportunities to Keacy Carty and Justin Greaves in place of Alick Athanaze and Evin Lewis, while T20I newbie Quentin Sampson kept his place in the XI. With West Indies yet to name their squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka, this is a chance for the fringe batters to attract the attention of the selectors and team management. On the bowling front, Shamar Springer replaced Shamar Joseph. Left-arm spinners Gudakesh Motie and Khary Pierre will take care of the spin attack.
