Police have arrested six people following an aggravated burglary in Brighton East this morning.
Authorities located and intercepted an allegedly stolen 4WD on the Monash Freeway near Chadstone, arresting the occupants.
Police have arrested six people in a dramatic operation on the Monash Freeway in Melbourne's south-east.
More than a dozen police officers, some dressed in tactical gear, were seen detaining several males on the freeway near Chadstone at lunchtime.
Traffic was brought to a standstill as the outbound lanes were closed, but all lanes had reopened by about 1:15pm.

Six people were hauled to the ground and arrested on a major Melbourne freeway after an early-morning home invasion sparked a dramatic police pursuit across the city.
All outbound lanes on the Monash Freeway at Warrigal Road were closed about midday on Tuesday after a stolen car was seen driving erratically.
Several hours earlier, police were called to reports of an aggravated burglary at a property in Clonaig Street, Brighton East, just after 5.30am.
Police said an occupant woke to the sound of noises inside the home, before offenders stole two cars and fled.
“One of the vehicles, a Nissan 4WD, was observed being driven erratically on EastLink and was monitored by police through multiple eastern and south-eastern suburbs before it was intercepted in Chadstone just after midday,” police said in a statement.

Melbourne police chase ends in six arrests following alleged burglary
Six people have been arrested following a car chase that was sparked by an alleged aggravated home invasion in Melbourne’s south-east.
A resident in the Brighton East home woke to noise inside their house shortly after 5.30am on Tuesday, but no injuries were reported.

The intruders allegedly stole two vehicles, an Audi and a Nissan 4WD.
Spotted driving erratically on EastLink, the Nissan was tracked by police across several eastern and south-eastern suburbs before it was intercepted just after midday.
All six occupants inside the car were arrested without further injury and were taken in for questioning.
