Interview: Luke Hemsworth on the charismatic cruelty and psychological warfare of The Terminal List Season 2

There’s something particularly unsettling about a villain who doesn’t believe he’s doing anything wrong. Someone whose moral compass is so spectacularly broken that manipulation becomes second nature, cruelty is simply another means of communication, and the line between charm and menace is practically nonexistent. In the increasingly dangerous world of The Terminal List, that man is Jules Landry, a charismatic, unpredictable CIA operative brought to life with wickedly entertaining abandon by Luke Hemsworth. Returning to the role following The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, Hemsworth embraces every uncomfortable contradiction of a character who can make you laugh one moment and question your own judgement for finding him amusing the next. Landry may be one of the most morally bankrupt figures in the franchise, but he’s also, rather perversely, one of its most fascinating.

Chris Fagan has stepped down as Brisbane Lions coach, days after leading the club to a third-straight AFL premiership.

The Lions say they respect Fagan's decision and steps will be taken to appoint a new coach "in due course".

Chris Fagan has told the Brisbane Lions he is stepping down as coach following the club's third-straight AFL premiership success.

The 65-year-old led Brisbane to a stunning 14.12 (96) to 12.17 (89) victory against Fremantle on Saturday.

However, he told the club he wanted to step away from the final year of his contract to be closer to his family.

Fagan said telling the Lions players and staff of his departure was "one of the hardest things I've done in my life".

NSW Premier Chris Minns Has Been Referred to the State Police Watchdog

The premier has been referred over claims he’s been pressuring police to suppress “lawful public assemblies” when he doesn’t agree with what’s being voiced.

New South Wales Greens MLC Sue Higginson has referred NSW premier Chris Minns to the Law Enforcement Conduct Commission, as she considers the NSW Labor leader has “too much influence over police operational decisions”, and she raised particular concern around the state’s top minister’s attempts to suppress “lawful public assemblies”, when he doesn’t agree with their politics.

Consternation around the premier’s attitude toward law enforcement has been spiking, ever since NSW police officers brutalised the participants in the 9 February 2026 anti-Herzog rally on Gadigal land before Sydney Town Hall, but what led Higginson to complain was his interview in The Australian a fortnight ago, as she considers it revealed his “undue influence” over the NSW police.

South Australia anchors Australia’s uranium industry as exploration expands

Australia holds around one-third of the global uranium resources and is the fourth largest global producer of uranium, following Kazakhstan, Canada, and Namibia.

In light of the recent survey by the Minerals Council of Australia signalling a shift in attitudes towards New South Wales’ ban on both uranium mining and nuclear energy, we are now seeing new opportunities continue to develop elsewhere in Australia.

South Australia is currently the sole producer of uranium in Australia, hosting around 89% of the country’s demonstrated resources and 23% of global resources.

Uranium sales out of South Australia have totalled $1.5 billion in 2026, having produced and exported over $12.5 billion worth of uranium oxide concentrate between 2000 and 2026.

Chris Packham’s Clarkson’s Farm remarks spark backlash

A row has erupted between broadcaster Chris Packham and Jeremy Clarkson after comments Mr Packham made on Celebrity Gogglebox about the illustrated opening sequence of Clarkson’s Farm.

Watching the Amazon Prime series, Mr Packham said of the animation: “That’s not what a farm looks like. Most farms are horrible monocultures which have been sprayed with deadly chemicals… the ground has been pumped full of fertiliser and most of the animals are indoors, in crates, being crushed and kept in the dark.”

Mr Clarkson hit back in his latest Sun column, describing Mr Packham as “endlessly angry” and pointing out that the sequence was “a drawing”.

Jeremy Clarkson has let his nice-farmer mask slip

Chris Packham is the latest subject of the presenter's rants – it's a far cry from the sympathetic character we know from Clarkson's Farm

Once again, Jeremy Clarkson has proved that he has learned diddly squat from the success of his Prime Video TV show, Clarkson’s Farm. That series has very consciously cast the pugilistic ex-Top Gear host in a more kindly light: he has gone from potty-mouthed petrolhead to amiable amateur farmer, fretting about his sheep and the challenges of crop rotation.

But now – and not for the first time – he has ripped up much of that goodwill with an unpleasant rant that makes you wonder if the more pleasant Clarkson we see in Clarkson’s Farm is merely an act for the cameras. In 2022, the target was Meghan Markle, whom he fantasised about booing in a Game of Thrones-style shame walk. Now it is the turn of BBC nature presenter Chris Packham, who had the nerve to critique the dystopian reality, as he sees it, of industrial-scale farming in the UK.

Jeremy Clarkson branded 'disingenuous' as feud with BBC star escalates

Jeremy Clarkson hit back at Chris over the claims(Image: Getty)

Jeremy Clarkson has been accused of being among numerous "industrial farmers" concealing the true nature of modern agriculture. Naturalist Chris Packham recently slammed the show's depiction of farming while appearing on Celebrity Gogglebox alongside his stepdaughter, Megan McCubbin.

During the programme, he alleged the former Top Gear host was giving audiences the "wrong idea" about farming through his popular series Clarkson's Farm, which has chronicled Jeremy's experience running Diddly Squat Farm over five seasons.

After Jeremy hit back at his claims, Chris told us: "Clarkson is being disingenuous and the industrial farmers are making a smokescreen to hide their horrors. I made the comments about the silly idealistic stereotyped cartoon at the top of his programme, he knows that."

Chris Hemsworth shares embarrassing airport blunder in new interview with wife Elsa Pataky

Forgetting your passport is potentially the biggest mistake you can make when heading to the airport for an international trip.

Chris Hemsworth took it to the next level, however, when he mistakenly packed his son’s passport for his daughter, only realising the error once he reached the departure gate.

It turns out that Chris Hemsworth is just like us, he too makes classic airport mistakes.  Instagram/@elsapataky

Hemsworth made the realisation when sitting down for an interview with Harper’s Bazaar Arabia alongside his wife, Elsa Pataky.

When asked who’s most likely to forget their passport, they both immediately pointed at each other, but Hemsworth quickly forfeited the fight.

Marvel Actor and Family Blocked From Flying Due to Passport Issues

Chris Hemsworth may have saved the world as Thor, but even superheroes apparently can’t outsmart airport security. The Marvel star recently shared a relatable parenting mishap that left his family grounded before an international flight.

The actor and his wife, Elsa Pataky, looked back on the travel mishap during an interview with Harper’s Bazaar Arabia. What should have been a routine airport check-in reportedly turned into an awkward passport mix-up at the airport.

Hemsworth revealed that he accidentally brought the wrong passport while traveling with his family. Instead of carrying the correct document for one of his twin sons, he reportedly arrived at the airport holding his daughter India Rose’s passport.

See what Geelong coach Chris Scott had to say following Geelong's clash with Sydney

We have got a high level of respect obviously for both teams. I am not sure which one is better, but I know they are both in the conversation to be the best team in the comp at the moment.

There is always a bit of trepidation when you know the strengths of the opposition teams so well, but it is pleasing to get the outcome.

I don't think any of the teams at the moment are coming away, or the teams at the top anyway, are coming away thinking that they wouldn't be a chance.

Essendon has sacked head coach Brad Scott as the Bombers languish at the bottom of the AFL ladder.

The Bombers have managed just one win in their past 24 AFL matches, and are coming off a disappointing loss to fellow strugglers Richmond last weekend.

Brad Scott sacked as Essendon coach pays price for dismal start to AFL season

Scott leaves after run of just one win in 11 games in 2026

Essendon have sacked coach Brad Scott with over a year remaining on his contract. Scott, 50, pays the price for the Bombers’ dismal start to the AFL season, having won just one of their first 11 games.

The final straw was seemingly Essendon’s ugly loss to Richmond on Friday night that anchored the Bombers to the bottom of the ladder.

Essendon this year also equalled their club-record losing streak of 17 games, which included the final 13 matches of their 2025 campaign.

The Bombers famously have not won a final since the 2004 elimination final and that unwanted streak is set to continue this year.

The Parramatta Eels are deeply saddened by the passing of Chris Phelan (Eel #405), a member of the club’s 1982 and 1983 Premiership-winning teams.

Born in Ireland on December 12, 1955, Chris emigrated to Townsville in 1967 at age 12 under the “Ten Pound Pom” scheme. He began his rugby league journey with Estates in 1971, reaching A-Grade within two years.

He won a Townsville premiership with Souths in 1975 alongside his brother Paddy, later transitioning from wing to lock and earning Foley Shield Player of the Year honours in 1979.

A carpenter by trade, Chris built his strength and fitness through the physical demands of his work, carrying hardwood and heavy materials daily. After relocating to Brisbane, he further enhanced his conditioning, training with Greg Oliphant and tackling the torturous Mount Coot-tha runs in the height of summer.
