‘We got everything right this time’ – Ocon beaming after points finish in Monaco

Charles Leclerc hit the wall in the closing stages of the Monaco Grand Prix while running in the podium places.

Charles Leclerc was left to rue ongoing brake problems after dramatically retiring from his home Grand Prix in Monaco, describing the situation as “not acceptable” and “impossible” to manage.

Leclerc held the final podium place for the majority of Sunday’s encounter in the Principality, having gained a spot on the opening lap when Red Bull rival Max Verstappen struggled to pull away from the grid and retired.

‘I look like an idiot’: F1 star sprays team after chaotic race as Piastri misses podium

In his hometown event, Monaco-born Charles Leclerc ended his F1 race fuming at his Ferrari team after he crashed out while chasing a podium.

Kimi Antonelli managed to navigate all the chaos to win the Monaco Grand Prix, making it five wins in a row this season.

Earlier, Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll had crashed at turn 19, the final corner, leading to a yellow flag on the course.

Then on the 66th lap, with Leclerc in third, he found himself in the same predicament in the same spot.

That led to another safety car and a red flag, which stopped the race.

Foran ‘disappointed’ as Manly golden run ends… but admits confusion with grim ref stat

They were shell-shocked in the first half, trailing 22-4 at the break, although they fought back valiantly to get within six.

Manly coach Kieran Foran's tough admission after 'disappointing' loss to Sharks

Kieran Foran could not hide his disappointment after the Sea Eagles fell short of a stellar comeback win over the Sharks on Friday, admitting his team had been "taught a lesson".

Manly were on the back foot from the get-go at Ocean Protect Stadium, conceding 22 points in the first half alone as Cronulla put on an attacking show for their home fans.

It appeared as though whatever words Foran told his men at half-time inspired a new sense of belief in the team, as they punched three consecutive tries on the board.

Hawthorn has been forced to "transition out" of Tasmania ahead of the state's AFL entry in 2028.

The club says it is "extremely disappointed" at the AFL's decision to stop it from playing home games in Tasmania, despite playing games there since 2001.

Hawthorn's transition will begin after the 2027 season, ahead of Tasmania's entry into the AFL. It plays in Launceston this Thursday against Adelaide.

Hawthorn is "extremely disappointed" about the AFL's decision to force it out of Tasmania before the 2028 league debut of Tasmania's AFL side.

'Kicked out of home': Hawks disappointed as AFL ends Tassie deal

Hawthorn's quarter-century stint of playing home games in Launceston will end after the 2027 season

HAWTHORN coach Sam Mitchell says it feels like his side has been "kicked out of a home" after the AFL's decision to end to the club's long-standing arrangement of playing home games in Launceston.

With Tasmania planned to enter the AFL as the League's 19th team from 2028, the AFL Commission and executive team have agreed that the Hawks will no longer play home matches out of University of Tasmania Stadium in northern Tasmania after 2027.

The Hawks had lobbied to continue playing home games in Launceston after the Devils' scheduled debut, believing there was sufficient support for the Hawks and for Australian football in Tasmania's north to accommodate both clubs.

Michael Maguire is refusing to blame the Broncos’ ugly loss to Manly on a bulging casualty ward, believing his players simply “missed the mark” on Saturday night.
