    If you spent your teenage years driving around with the windows down, blasting Odyssey Number Five, get ready: Powderfinger are officially back together and touring Australia. With Bernard Fanning’s unmistakable vocals and an arsenal of anthems like ‘These Days’, ‘My Happiness’ and ‘Sunsets’, the Brisbane quintet didn’t just define a generation of Australian music; they became part of the cultural fabric. Calling it quits with their dramatic Sunsets Farewell Tour in 2010, many fans believed they’d never see the band play live again. Then, the clues began to appear. Fans began predicting a reunion was indeed on the cards when cryptic teasers began popping up around the country, shared on a mysterious new social account called The Return of the Electric Horsemen. Soon enough, fans pieced together the mystery and the band made the announcement they’d been waiting for: they’re back. A reunion wouldn’t be complete without a packed tour to match. Powderfinger have confirmed they are performing a massive 18-date Australian tour that’s already seen an exponential response from fans.     Mason Cox saw plenty of highlights in his time at Collingwood, but just months into his tenure at Fremantle, the American recruit as found himself in a state of constant disbelief watching new teammate Shai Bolton.

    Bolton, who joined the Dockers from Richmond in a high-profile offseason trade at the end of 2024, has enjoyed a blistering start to the 2026 season. After a 33-disposal effort against his former side in Round 3 — which followed the 32 and two goals he managed a week prior — the dual-premiership star has firmly established himself as one of the most damaging forward-mids in the competition.

    Fremantle co-vice-captain Caleb Serong said he has been most impressed by Shai Bolton’s full buy-in to learning his midfield role in the absence of Hayden Young.

    Bolton had 32 disposals last week – his most as a Fremantle player – and in Saturday’s win over the Tigers bettered that effort by one, finishing with 33, along with five tackles and four clearances.

    Serong though, is loving Bolton’s defensive efforts, with Bolton recording the second-most pressure acts by a Fremantle player in the win.

    Ellis champions surprise Docker as early Brownlow contender

    Former Hawthorn and West Coast player Xavier Ellis has thrust a surprise Docker into the early Brownlow Medal discussion.

    Speaking on the Hard Ball Gets podcast, Ellis declared Fremantle forward Shai Bolton as important to the Dockers’ midfield as both Caleb Serong and Andrew Brayshaw after a blistering start to the 2026 campaign.

    Bolton was one of the best Dockers afield in the club’s 60-point win over Richmond on Saturday with an equal career-high 33 disposals to go with five tackles, four clearances and 573 metres gained.
