Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra's battery capacity could disappoint you – GSMArena.com news
Samsung is expected to be launching the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra alongside the Galaxy Tab S12+ later this year (possibly in September, which is when its predecessor got official in 2025).
The device will allegedly have the exact same battery capacity as the Tab S11 Ultra, according to a new report. Unfortunately, Samsung has decided not to go past 11,600 mAh for whatever reason. Since it's literally the same battery pack, it's also very likely to top out at 45W wired charging capacity, just like the S11 Ultra.
Interestingly, the Galaxy Tab S12+ is said to come with a bigger battery than the Tab S10+ it's replacing (Samsung is launching a 'vanilla' Galaxy S tablet and a Plus model alternatively each year, so there was no Galaxy Tab S11+).
Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra will be a big disappointment. Samsung refuses to improve one of the most essential features
Edition Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is still quite far away, but speculation is already starting to multiply about its parameters, appearance and improvements compared to Galaxy Tab S11 UltraIt is almost certain that Samsung will once again focus on optimizations and hardware changes, and will not make as many as we would like. And unfortunately, this will also affect the battery life. According to the latest leak, the battery capacity and charging speed will remain at the level of its predecessor.
Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra will probably appear at the end of the summer and will again focus mainly on AI functions and high performance. LeakExperts believe that it will get a very advanced processor Dimensity 9500, which will allow it to handle the most demanding operations and will serve for both work and entertainment. In the Geekbench 6 tests, the chip received a score of:

Samsung is gearing up to launch its next tablets, the Galaxy Tab S12 series. As we learned through certification listings earlier this year, this series will consist of the Galaxy Tab S12 Plus and S12 Ultra. A newly surfaced leak has now shed some light on the size of the Ultra’s battery.
If you were hoping for an upgrade, this won’t be the news you want to hear. According to a report from GalaxyClub, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra will feature a battery with a rated capacity of 11,374 mAh and a typical capacity of 11,600 mAh. If true, that means this year’s Ultra tablet will have the same battery as its predecessor.
