    McDonald's 'Grinch Salt' pickle fries finally come to U.S. in festive adult Happy Meal

    It’s not roast beast, but it will have to do. After years of waiting, American fans of brined cucumbers, McDonald’s fries and Dr. Seuss’s curmudgeonly holiday classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas will finally be able to enjoy all three simultaneously when participating Golden Arches franchises start serving Dill Pickle “Grinch Salt” McShaker Fries for the first time on Dec. 2.

    “Sprinkle the tangy, dill pickle seasoning into the McShaker bag and shake for a bold twist on our World Famous Fries that will make your taste buds pucker with delight,” McDonald’s said in a statement. The mean, green fries will be available as part of adult Happy Meals that include either a Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, along with a medium drink and “a pair of spirited socks” in “four unhinged colors” that have been “scribbled with messages from the Grinch himself.”

    McDonald's is launching The Grinch Meal, a new meal deal developed in partnership with Dr. Seuss Enterprises that offers fans of the Golden Arches a mischievous twist on their favorite fast food items this holiday season.

    The Grinch Meal, announced in a press release Thursday, will be hitting the fast food chain nationwide starting Dec. 2, marking the first time this meal will be available in the U.S.

    The new meal is inspired by the popular green Christmas downer and comes with Dill Pickle "Grinch Salt" that can be sprinkled on McDonald's fries using the McShaker bag.

    After an incredibly successful debut in Canada last year, Macca’s and Dr. Seuss Enterprises are bringing the Grinch Meal platform down under — available at McDonald’s restaurants nationwide from today (19 November).

    The fan truth for this campaign is one that every Aussie knows — the best summer days always end at Macca’s. The work speaks to Aussie families enjoying their holiday break and how the Grinch is determined to do everything he can to ruin their summer. But despite his best efforts, his antics only make the season brighter.

    Directed by Jesse James McElroy, the campaign launches with a playful, cinematic film titled “I’m Ruinin’ It,” paying tribute to Dr. Seuss’ classic, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” In the film, fans watch the Grinch spying on the people of Australiaville, who are enjoying their sunny holiday season a bit too much for his liking. Determined to put an end to the cheer, he cooks up a mischievous plan to ruin Australia’s summer holiday season — and he’s starting with Macca’s. As the film wraps, the Grinch puts a bold twist on McDonald’s iconic jingle, changing it to, “I’m ruinin’ it. ba–da–ba–ba–DUM.”

    McDonald’s launches their most unusual flavour combinations yet with a festive twist

    McDonald's has just launched their most unusual flavour combinations yet, and apparently it all tastes much better than it sounds.

    The new The Grinch range, which will hit stores on Wednesday November 19, features some of the fast food giant’s best selling products, which have been 'ruined' by the cheeky Christmas character.

    The range features two limited-edition meals, exclusive collectibles and toys, and one adventurous snack option which sounds unusual, but also potentially delicious.

    Firstly there is The Grinch Meal, which comes with your choice of a Big Mac, the returning Chicken Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, paired with fries and your choice of drink, which includes the limited-edition Frozen Fanta Lemon with Green Apple Popping Pearls.
