That’s because, for her, playing Carolyn Bessette—a woman swept up in a whirlwind of fame after falling for John F. Kennedy Jr.—became a surreal experience in which art began to mirror real life.
Pidgeon and Paul Anthony Kelly found themselves under a microscope while filming the ’90s-set show, with paparazzi-captured photos of them resulting in an outcry. Significant changes were made to Pidgeon’s wardrobe and hair in response.
