Per The Daily Mail, Ferguson was moved to medical care more than an hour before the scheduled kick-off on Sunday. Despite the sudden nature of the incident, it is understood that the move is purely a precaution intended to ensure the Scotsman's well-being. It is expected that Ferguson will soon be recuperating at home.

There haven't been many surprises in the first week of the 2026 NBA postseason. The No. 7 and 8 teams in each conference advanced through the play-in tournament. In the first weekend of the true playoffs, home teams won seven of the eight Game 1s — and by an average of 17.7 points. Only one game all weekend was decided by single digits.

But that single-digit game was a semi-surprise, as the fourth-seeded Los Angeles Lakers defeated the fifth-seeded Houston Rockets. Even with Houston's leading scorer, Kevin Durant, missing Game 1, the Lakers were underdogs at home because they were missing their top two scorers in Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves.

The Storm says Kamikamica will now "commence a period of inpatient rehabilitation".

Melbourne Storm forward Tui Kamikamica has left hospital to continue his rehabilitation after suffering a suspected stroke.

The Storm confirmed this morning that Kamikamica had been discharged from Royal Melbourne Hospital to "commence a period of inpatient rehabilitation".

"It is anticipated he will be able to return to the club following his rehabilitation period and continue his recovery under the care of Melbourne Storm medical staff," a club media release read.

Kamikamica experienced what the Storm described as a "medical episode" on Monday morning.

Melbourne Storm can confirm that forward Tui Kamikamica has been discharged from hospital to commence a period of inpatient rehabilitation.

It is anticipated he will be able to return to the Club following his rehabilitation period and continue his recovery under the care of Melbourne Storm medical staff.

The Club would like to thank the medical professionals at Royal Melbourne Hospital and Ambulance Victoria for their outstanding care of Tui and extend its appreciation to everyone who has supported Tui and his family during this difficult time.

Tornado recovery continues as local communities rally with supplies and aid

Severe weather is expected this evening with tornadoes, large hail, and damaging winds possible.

Residents across Southwest Michigan are left picking up the pieces after tornadoes tore through communities in Edwardsburg and Three Rivers on Friday.

Now communities across Cass and St. Joe counties are coming together to provide basic necessities and hot meals for those impacted.

Riverside Church is just one of the many organizations supporting those impacted by providing basic needs.

They are offering everything from food, pillows, hygiene items and everything in between.

The Red Cross and Samaritan’s purse are also stepping up. The volunteer-based disaster relief organizations are helping homeowners’ clear debris and tarp homes.

A massive winter storm has brought snow, sleet and freezing rain to much of the US.

Several people have died in New York and Louisiana, while hundreds of thousands of people in the south-east have been without power, with Tennessee and Mississippi hit especially hard.

The ice and snowfall are expected to continue, followed by very low temperatures that could cause "dangerous travel and infrastructure impacts" for days, the US National Weather Service has said.

A massive winter storm in North America has brought sleet, freezing rain and snow to much of the US, with subzero temperatures disrupting air and road traffic.

US winter storm leaves several dead and cuts power

A dangerous winter storm has swept across the US, leaving at least seven people dead and cutting power to hundreds of thousands of homes.

Schools and roads across the country have been closed and flights have been cancelled as "life threatening" conditions stretched from Texas to New England, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

At least two people died of hypothermia in Louisiana, and other deaths linked to the storm have been reported in Texas, Tennessee and Kansas.

As of Sunday afternoon, more than 800,000 households had lost power, according to poweroutage.us. Meanwhile, more than 11,000 flights were cancelled, FlightAware reported.

Enzo Maresca leaves Chelsea after holding talks over Manchester City move

Enzo Maresca’s shock departure at Chelsea came after he informed the club that he had held talks with figures associated to Manchester City over replacing Pep Guardiola.

The situation has been volatile ever since he made cryptic comments about experiencing his “worst 48 hours” at the club after the win over Everton on 13 December. Mystery surrounded those remarks but there is now the added context that Maresca told his bosses – twice in late October, then in the days after the Everton game – that he had discussed succeeding Guardiola should the Spaniard depart City at the end of the season. Maresca was Guardiola’s assistant at the Etihad Stadium in the 2022-23 season.
