    Toy drive returns to Louisville's aquatic center to support kids facing cancer

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. — An annual toy drive is returning to the Mary T. Meagher Aquatic Center this month in the Metro.

    Louisville Parks and Recreation is partnering with Camp Quality to collect toys for children facing cancer, according to the mayor. Those who want to donate can bring the toys to the Mary T. Meagher Aquatic Center until Dec. 5.

    “Camp Quality brings comfort, happiness, and support to children and families facing the unimaginable,” Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg said. “I’m grateful our community continues to step up year after year to make the holidays brighter for these young people. Louisville is at its best when we come together to lift one another up.”

    This month, the Mary T. Meagher Aquatic Center in Louisville is set to host its annual toy drive, a heartfelt initiative aimed at bringing joy to children battling cancer. The event is a collaboration between Louisville Parks and Recreation and Camp Quality, a nonprofit that supports young cancer patients and their families.

    Residents wishing to contribute can drop off new, unwrapped toys at the aquatic center until December 5. The facility will accept donations from Monday to Friday between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m.

    Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg expressed gratitude for the community’s continued support, stating, “Camp Quality brings comfort, happiness, and support to children and families facing the unimaginable.
