Ouaddou views final as perfect advert for SA football
Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou sees the team’s MTN8 final against Mamelodi Sundowns at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday as a chance to advertise South African football to the world.
The Buccaneers will aim for what would be their fifth MTN8 title in a row. “It’s a good event. We are really excited to play this kind of game again and to defend this title,” Ouaddou said.
“It’s a game between two champions [Pirates are domestic league champions, while Sundowns are African champions], so it’s a fantastic event for the country and for all football lovers. Of course, our aim is just to go into this game with big ambition to show the best face of Pirates and, of course, to give a very good image of football in South Africa.”
