Bulls vs Hornets injury report: Ayo Dosunmu, Coby White, LaMelo Ball, and more

It’s been almost a week since the Chicago Bulls last took the court—a 123–91 loss to a shorthanded Golden State Warriors team. But like their opponent, Chicago wasn’t fully healthy heading into the matchup either.

Against Golden State, Chicago was without Kevin Huerter, Tre Jones, Isaac Okoro, and Jalen Smith. After five days of rest, three of those four are set to return. Jones, Okoro, and Smith will rejoin Billy Donovan’s rotation after absences of three, eight, and five games, respectively.

Huerter is the only Bull, aside from Noa Essengue, who will miss a second straight game due to injury. He suffered an adductor strain just six minutes into the December 1 matchup against the Orlando Magic. The 6-foot-7 wing didn’t travel with the team to Charlotte, joining Ayo Dosunmu as one of the players who remained in Chicago.

Australia's Dyson Daniels has surged past his idol Gary "The Glove" Payton and is eyeing off Michael Jordan on the all-time list for most consecutive NBA games with at least one steal.

Daniels had five points, eight assists and six rebounds on Thursday (AEDT) as the Atlanta Hawks powered to a dominant 133-100 win over Sacramento.

But it was the 22-year-old's record-setting defensive efforts – which led to him being dubbed the "Great Barrier Thief" last season – that again turned heads.

Dyson Daniels Q&A: Americans are a little more sensitive, Australians talk a bit more s***

Many of the NBA’s top defenders likely see Dyson Daniels as a model to emulate. Following a July 2024 trade from New Orleans to Atlanta, he revitalized his career, capturing the Most Improved Player award and finishing as the runner-up for Defensive Player of the Year behind Evan Mobley. He soon parlayed those achievements into a four-year, $100 million extension with the Hawks.

Fresh off beating the LA Clippers at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Daniels spoke to HoopsHype after a recent practice about being the main point-of-attack defender on the Hawks, his reaction when he was traded from New Orleans, taking on more offensive responsibilities in the absence of Trae Young, and more.

Dyson Daniels flirts with triple-double in Saturday's win over Lakers

Dyson Daniels flirted with a triple-double for the Hawks Saturday night, dishing out 13 assists, grabbing eight rebounds, and chipping in 10 points (5-8 FG) while also recording one steal in a 122-102 win over the Lakers.

Daniels continues an impactful stretch on both ends of the floor, dishing out three or more assists, grabbing four or more rebounds, and scoring seven or more points in each of his last five games for the Hawks. The guard continues to provide fantasy managers with a stable multiple-category option on a nightly basis while leading an Atlanta starting five missing Trae Young.
