'I'd probably hang them up': Jezza reveals how close he came to retirement

Keen fisherman Jeremy Cameron has been enjoying the taste of a dangerous catch as things start looking up for the Geelong star after a tough season

REUNITING with Toby Greene is the latest among several boosts for Jeremy Cameron after his injury-plagued season.

The Geelong key forward said he had no regrets about nursing an ongoing arm problem through the year, saying he might have contemplated retirement had he sat out the season.

Cameron's right forearm remains in a protective splint, six weeks after his post-season surgery.

He said on Tuesday night the arm would be reassessed at 12 weeks. Cameron is running every second day and in high spirits.

Toby Greene has backed Jeremy Cameron to rediscover the form that made him just about the AFL's best player when they are reunited at Geelong.

Greene's high-profile move from GWS to the Cats as an unrestricted free agent will put him in the same forward line as Cameron, who struggled this season with injury.

Cameron, who previously played with Greene at GWS, has had off-season surgery to fix an arm problem. He struggled for top form this year after breaking his arm in last year's grand final loss.

“I’d be retired by now”: Geelong star makes two shock admissions

Geelong superstar Jeremy Cameron has revealed that he played the 2026 season with a broken arm after his injury from the 2025 Grand Final did not heal correctly.

Cameron looked injured throughout this year's campaign and consistently had heavy strapping on his busted wing, but still played 19 games and kicked 41 goals.

The 33-year-old will play his 300th game if fit in the season opener against Sydney at the SCG in Round 1 next year and will likely pass the 800-goal mark within a few rounds. Currently he sits on 777.

The star key forward spoke freely on SEN's The Run Home with Andy and Gazey on Tuesday about his injured arm and what he went through for his beloved Cats this season.

Scott Miller thinks Australia probably hates him. He's desperate to reverse the damage

And for 25 years it weighed Australian Olympian Scott Miller down. Drugs and bad decisions destroyed his life until a dramatic arrest and incarceration saved it.

When Miller went to the Atlanta Olympics in 1996 as a 21-year-old, the weight of a nation was on his ample shoulders.

He would win silver, beaten for gold in controversial circumstances by Russian Denis Pankratov, who swam more than a third of the race underwater, to break the only individual men's world record in a final at the meet.

Shattered, Miller threw the silver medal in the bin, only to have it retrieved by his mother, Jenny.

In the 90s, Scott Miller was one of Australian swimming’s brightest stars, his rise to the top of the sport hard won and impressive.

Competing alongside the likes of Michael Klim, Geoff Huegill and Scott Goodman, Miller set the pace, picking up a slew of World Championship medals, his success culminating in a silver medal at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.

But just as his ascent had been rapid, so too his downfall.

In the years after, he struggled to stay on form, his life away from the pool, including his high-profile marriage to Sydney socialite and TV presenter Charlotte Dawson, making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

‘I know I’m not a bad person’: Scott Miller opens up about drugs, prison and Alan Jones in ABC documentary

Olympian turned convicted drug dealer Scott Miller isn’t expecting everyone to sympathise with his story, as told in an ABC News documentary charting his fall from grace and the rebuilding of his life.

The former butterfly swimmer was so stung by his last media appearance – a grilling by 60 Minutes’ Tara Brown following his 2013 arrest for possession of methamphetamine, for which he received a one-year suspended jail sentence – that he initially said no to the two-part series Deep End: The Scott Miller Story.

But, since his 2024 release from prison, after serving more than three years for his role in a drug syndicate supplying crystal meth, or “ice”, Miller feels the time is right to “clear up a few misconceptions”.
