Prince Harry is due to make a rare visit to Britain with his family next week.

It would be the first time in four years the Duke of Sussex has travelled to the UK with his wife and children.

A family spokesperson says Prince Harry "continues to explore every available option" to make the journey happen, amid security concerns.

Prince Harry says he is still trying to bring his family to Britain next week, despite concerns of a "frenzy" as paparazzi attempt to snap rare photographs of his children.

Prince Harry “Close to Tears” Over UK Visit Security Situation

Prince Harry is still intending to bring his family to the UK next week despite a fiasco over his security arrangements that has left him “close to tears,” a source tells Vanity Fair.

Harry, whose trip is in support of next year’s Invictus Games in Birmingham, confirmed to news outlets on Friday that he was bringing his wife, Meghan Markle, and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to England for the family’s first visit back to the UK since 2022.

But within hours of issuing the statements, the duke performed an extraordinary U-turn and was reportedly reconsidering bringing his family, after he was told that the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (RAVEC) would not be providing full-time police protection during the trip. Tax-payer-funded security is determined on a case-by-case basis by RAVEC and is usually only offered to full-time working members of the royal family. (When Vanity Fair contacted the Home Office, a spokesman confirmed its position remained the same.)

    Reconciliation Week

TATENDA CHIBIKA, REPORTER: From the handing back of traditional lands, to speeches recognising past injustices.

PAUL KEATING, FORMER PRIME MINISTER: We took the traditional lands and smashed the traditional way of life.

KEVIN RUDD, FORMER PRIME MINISTER: On behalf of the Government of Australia, I am sorry.

PERSON: I'm sure we can walk that road towards true reconciliation.

…and small gatherings too. These are just some of the moments in our country's history where First Nations and non-Indigenous people have come together and tried to right the wrongs of the past. This is what Reconciliation Week is all about. It's a chance for Australians to learn, share, celebrate, acknowledge the past and look to the future.
