Next weekend’s Tim Tszyu vs. Errol Spence blockbuster card has been thrown into turmoil after American superstar Jermall Charlo was denied entry into Australia.
Former middleweight champion Charlo was scheduled to face Sydney underdog Koen Mazoudier in the co-main event of a card that was touted as the best in Aussie boxing history.
Charlo was supposed to land on Thursday alongside Spence, but didn’t make the flight after his visa was denied.

Promoters scrambling as shock cancellation rocks Tszyu fight
Promoters No Limit are scrambling to find a replacement, after American former champion Jermall Charlo’s visa to enter Australia was denied.
The former two-division champion was set to return to the ring for the first time in more than a year against Aussie Koen Mazoudier on the undercard of Errol Spence Jr. vs. Tim Tszyu on Sunday week AEST.
However, the Australian government has denied his entry into the country and the fight has now been cancelled.
“Unfortunately, I will not be able to fight next Saturday,” Charlo said in a statement on his Instagram page.
“I’ve been training nonstop for the last three months and was ready to make a statement.
