José Carreras and Robbie Williams to sing at the Gabba in world exclusive event
Brisbane has secured the ultimate cultural coup – a spectacular, one-night-only musical event headlined by legendary tenor José Carreras.
Robbie Williams, The Corrs, Ronan Keating, Natalie Imbruglia and others will join the Spanish opera great live in concert at the Gabba.
World-famous singers will perform their hits and duets with Carreras, who shot to mainstream fame as one of The Three Tenors, alongside Luciano Pavarotti and Plácido Domingo.
Exclusive to Brisbane, the concert, to be held on December 5, is inspired by the Pavarotti and Friends extravaganzas in Italy from 1992 to 2003 that united the late Pavarotti with top pop music acts including Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Queen and Bono.

The veteran Spanish tenor José Carreras, 79, will return to Australia later this year to headline a major outdoor concert at Brisbane’s Gabba alongside pop-rock stars Robbie Williams, Ronan Keating and Natalie Imbruglia and the Irish folk pop group The Corrs.
The Carreras & Friends bill also features former Savage Garden frontman Darren Hayes, Brisbane pop group Sheppard, Heart singer Ann Wilson, Welsh mezzo-soprano Katherine Jenkins and Australian tenor Mark Vincent.
The show is part of the same cultural investment strategy from the Queensland Government that brought Sting to the Queensland Performing Arts Centre’s new Glasshouse Theatre with his touring musical The Last Ship.
