Sydney to host 2027 SN Grand Final
Netball Australia is proud to announce the 2027 Super Netball Grand Final will be played in Sydney, in partnership with the NSW Government through its tourism and major events agency Destination NSW.
This is first time Sydney will host the Grand Final since the Super Netball competition commenced.
The Super Netball Grand Final is estimated to attract more than 8,000 visitors to Sydney and inject over $4 million into the NSW visitor economy, delivering a significant boost to hotels, restaurants, pubs and retailers.
The match will also attract a significant broadcast audience and national media attention, showcasing Sydney as one of Australia’s premier cities for world-class sporting experiences, particularly in the lead up to the 2027 Netball World Cup from 25 August to 5 September, which will be played exclusively in the Harbour City.

The last time Sydney netball fans had the chance to support a home team in a league grand final was 18 years ago in the former ANZ Championship.
The Super Netball league was nearly a decade away from foundation when a six-year-old Amy Sligar, who now plays for the Sydney Sirens, watched the NSW Swifts defeat the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic 65-56 in July 2008.
“I would have watched that game with stars in my eyes and probably my heroes were playing in that game,” she said.
