On Tuesday, June 9, Prime Video unveiled a new trailer for Elle, the Legally Blonde prequel series set in a Seattle high school and starring Lexi Minetree in the role made famous by Reese Witherspoon, who serves as an executive producer on the project.
‘Elle’ Makes Her Debut in Trailer for ‘Legally Blonde’ Prequel Series
Prime Video has released the official trailer and key art (below) for the highly anticipated Legally Blonde prequel series, which releases all eight episodes on July 1.
The prequel series follows the title character Elle, who is played by Lexi Minetree, as a high school student. Reese Witherspoon — who played the character in two Legally Blonde movies in the early 2000s — is among the executive producers.
Minetree was cast in the title role Feburary 2025; June Diane Raphael, Tom Everett Scott, Gabrielle Policano, Jacob Moskovitz, Chandler Kinney and Zac Looker also star.
The first season follows Elle Woods before she was a fish-out-of-water at Harvard. Here’s the logline: “We meet her in 1995 as a fish in the tumultuous waters of high school where she encounters tricky friendships, forbidden romance, and questionable fashion choices.
