Watch: Noa Tishby lights Hanukkah candles with Julie Bowen

Israeli actress and activist Noa Tishby is continuing her series in which she lights Hanukkah candles with a different celebrity each night.

For the fifth night of Hanukkah, Tishby lit the candles with actress Julie Bowen. While Bowen is not Jewish, she described herself as being “totally fascinated” with Jewish culture, stemming from the fact that her father’s business partner was Jewish.

“And then October 7th happened…and so I wanted to educate myself because I saw how upset people were. I keep wanting to learn more,” she stated.

Bowen added, “Whenever people are hurt or suffering, it's not good. But if it's making a shiksa in the valley, like me, ask questions, there is something good that's coming out of all this conflict. That's the most positive thing I can say is it makes me more curious.”

Watch Live! Jordan vs Morocco Final in the FIFA Arab Cup on beIN SPORTS

Jordan have been the free-scoring force of the FIFA Arab Cup, racking up 10 goals in five matches on their way to the final. Morocco, by contrast, have built their run on defensive excellence, conceding just once across the same stretch — and even that came via an own goal in their opening group match.

Even without injured Nashama forward Yazan Al Naimat, the stage is set for a classic clash of styles at Lusail Stadium: Jordan’s attacking flair against Morocco’s near-impenetrable back line.

The Morocco national football team are aiming to extend their love affair with Qatar, three years after reaching the semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup. Meanwhile, Jordan national football team also have fond memories of Lusail, having played the Asian Cup final at the same venue two years ago.

Ayed: We're Capable Of Winning Title

Doha, Qatar: Full concentration for 90 minutes has been the hallmark of Jordan's campaign at the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025, helping them register five straight wins, collect maximum points, score 10 goals and concede only two.

Jordan's impressive form prompted Issam Smeeri, one of the standouts from their semi-final win over Saudi Arabia, to sum it all up in his post-match comments to FIFA.

“You have to play with full concentration until the final whistle,” he admitted.“We did exactly as the coach asked, applying his instructions to the letter, while also working on our mental strength to maintain our level throughout. Knockout games are decided by fine margins, but we stayed focused, achieved our goal, and we thank the Jordanian fans for helping us along the way.”

‘I loved our fourth quarter’: United show signs of turning the corner

Cairns star Sam Waardenburg is set to make his return this weekend, after a long spell on the sidelines due to injury.

Waardenburg hasn’t played all year as he’s fought to overcome an ankle issue, but the club has confirmed he’ll be fit to take on Tasmania on Saturday night in Cairns.

The former Next Generation Award winner will be a huge addition for the Taipans, having averaged 14.5 points and 7.3 rebounds a game across the NBL25 campaign.

The news isn’t as good for young gun Reyne Smith, who will have to wait until Round 15 to make his return from a plantar fascia tear.

How and Where to Watch Jordan vs Iraq in the FIFA Arab Cup on beIN SPORTS

Jordan head into the quarter-finals with a perfect record of three wins, comfortably securing the top spot in Group C. Their strong campaign opened with a 2-1 victory over the UAE, followed by convincing wins against Kuwait (3-1) and Egypt (3-0)—extending the incredible momentum they’ve built since reaching the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 final.

Their resurgence didn’t stop there. Jordan later celebrated a historic milestone by qualifying for the FIFA World Cup for the first time, and they are expected to perform at their absolute best in the knockout stage.

On the other side, Iraq enter the matchup hungry to rebound after finishing second in Group D. They booked their quarter-final berth with solid wins against Bahrain (2-1) and Sudan (2-0), though they stumbled in their final group game with a 2-0 loss to defending champions Algeria.

Arnold: Iraq ready for Jordan clash in Arab Cup quarterfinal

NEWSROOM — Iraq national soccer team coach Graham Arnold said the squad is fully prepared, both mentally and physically, for Friday’s Arab Cup quarterfinal against Jordan, emphasizing confidence in his players.

Speaking at a pre-match press conference in Doha, Arnold said, “The players are mentally and physically ready to give their best in tomorrow’s match. We are going into the game with full readiness and will give everything to secure victory.”

Arnold noted the absence of Hussein Ali due to a red card and acknowledged other injuries but said such challenges are part of football. He added that the tournament has been an important opportunity to identify the best lineup.

Arab Cup 2025 / Jordan – Iraq: history of their encounters

Iraq holds a clear historical edge over Jordan, boasting 21 wins in 34 official and friendly meetings, compared to just 8 Jordanian victories and 5 draws. This dominance has spanned several decades, confirmed time and again across numerous regional and international competitions.

In recent years, however, the dynamic has occasionally shifted. Jordan notably caused an upset at the 2024 Asian Cup, clinching a dramatic 3-2 win in the round of 16 (January 29, 2024), before Iraq reclaimed the upper hand in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with a 1-0 victory on June 10, 2025. In between, several tightly contested clashes—including a 2-2 draw in a friendly (October 2023)—have underscored the growing parity between the two sides.

Nathan Lyon could be about to make Ashes history – here’s how he can join the greats

The first Test ever was played back in 1877 between Australia and England. At that stage the concept of The Ashes had yet to be born.

It was five years later, in 1882, that the first Ashes game was played, and cricket’s two oldest rivals are still going at it more than a century later.

Quite naturally, plenty of records and milestones have been set over the course of the rivalry; let’s take a moment to see which of cricket’s legends have taken the most Ashes wickets over the years.

While there are plenty of modern names on the list, the top nine does not feature any current players. That could of course change by the end of the series, however, with one player perilously close to reaching the top bracket.

Championship Sunday at Royal Melbourne is set to be a thriller, with a resurgent Cameron Smith headlining a jam-packed leaderboard and a chasing pack all eyeing the Stonehaven Cup.

Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen slept on a two-shot lead at -14, but with three players poised at -12, another at -11, and a trio lurking at -10, the Australian Open is perfectly primed for a big sandbelt finish.

Rory McIlroy sits at -5 and all but out of the running for the title, but the biggest name in the field still remains a major drawcard.

There is a reason why ODIs are a format after India's heart. Why, at a time when ODIs fight for relevance outside the World Cup, do Indians still sell out stadiums to watch their team in action? It doesn't demand as much devotion as Tests do, but still provides enough time and certainty for their heroes to showcase their skill and fitness. And when two of the greatest of all time, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, find the form they did during the first ODI between against South Africa, it's all the more reason for a three-match series to be frenzied.

Watch: Dewald Brevis takes a stunner to dismiss Ruturaj Gaikwad

Dewald Brevis lit up the opening ODI with a moment of sheer brilliance, pulling off a breathtaking one-handed diving catch at backward point to dismiss Ruturaj Gaikwad for 8 off 14 balls. Flying full stretch to his right, Brevis produced the breakthrough South Africa badly needed, ending a cautious third-wicket stand of 22 runs in 5.1 overs.

The dismissal offered some relief for the visitors, with Virat Kohli continuing to hold firm at the other end, unbeaten on a commanding 85 off 78 deliveries. Washington Sundar walked in at No. 5 for the first time in his career, with India 184 for 3 in 26.2 overs. Washington Sundar, struggling to rotate the strike during his time at the crease, managed just 13 off 19 balls before finding mid-off in an attempt to accelerate, leaving India 200 for 4 in 30.3 overs with Kohli on 88 off 83.

Fans accuse CSK captain after burning golden chance in IND vs SA 1st ODI

Ruturaj Gaikwad’s long-awaited return to India’s ODI team did not go as planned, and fans on social media quickly expressed their disappointment after the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain was dismissed for just eight runs in the first ODI against South Africa in Ranchi.

Gaikwad earned his recall following Shreyas Iyer’s injury. But his comeback innings was cut short by a stunning moment of brilliance from Dewald Brevis, who took a flying one-handed catch at backward point.

While trying to cut a ball slightly outside off-stump from Ottneil Baartman, he sliced it in the air, only for Brevis to leap sideways and pull off a sensational catch. The effort immediately brought back memories of legendary fielder Jonty Rhodes, and Brevis’ athletic grab went viral online within minutes.

The Bears, believe it or not, lead the NFC North with a 7-3 record, and are favored to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday at Soldier Field.

They’ll have to do so without their entire starting linebacker corps and their top cornerbacks. Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will not play because of an injury to his non-throwing hand, so Mason Rudolph will start in his place.
