Following the conclusion of our tour of New Zealand and Australia, our next pre-season outing takes place on Saturday afternoon as we take on La Liga side Getafe in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Hotspur Way.

The game begins at 3pm UK time, and will be 70 minutes in length (two 35-minute halves).

Tottenham Hotspur FC hosted Getafe CF on Saturday in a behind-closed-doors pre-season friendly at Hotspur Way. The Tottenham vs Getafe meeting formed part of Spurs‘ preparations for the 2026-27 season under new head coach Roberto De Zerbi.

Tottenham entered the match unbeaten during pre-season after a 2-1 victory over Chelsea in Australia, while Getafe arrived looking to recover from narrow friendly defeats against Atlético Madrid and Monaco. Although supporters were unable to attend the match in person, it was streamed live on SPURSPLAY, allowing fans to follow Tottenham’s latest pre-season outing.

The buildup to Tottenham vs Getafe centered on squad fitness as De Zerbi continued to prepare his players for the new campaign. Dejan Kulusevski and Mohammed Kudus returned to training but were not guaranteed to feature.

Space exploration enthusiasts have been tracking the unprecedented journey of SpaceXâs latest Starship prototype, which wound up floating in the Indian Ocean after the companyâs latest test flight. Now, satellites have captured mind-bending images of boats working to haul the rocket back to shore.

The saga of Ship 40 â as this specific Starship prototype is called â began on July 24 with the launch of SpaceXâs 13th fully integrated test flight the rocket system, which includes the upper spacecraft, or âship,â as well as the Super Heavy rocket booster, the bottommost part of the rocket that fires the ship off the launchpad and toward space.

Ted Lasso goes beyond extra time with its fourth season, and we pay the penalty

Like football, a Ted Lasso season is a game of two halves. And as such, reviewing it at half-time is a perilous exercise. But having seen the first five episodes of season four – ostensibly the final season – that is precisely what I am going to do.

So, here’s the caveat: struggling teams can sometimes stage remarkable comebacks after the break. And for the sake of this once-beloved show, I hope that’s what happens here.

To milk this metaphor just a little longer, this season feels like a game stretched into extra time and inevitably on the way to the dreaded penalty shootout. It’s a long way from the beautiful game at its finest, and it’s absolutely not the way anyone wants it to end.

The three-T20I series between Sri Lanka and Pakistan commences on July 31. Here’s the updated ICC women’s T20I team rankings ahead of the series.

Sri Lanka and Pakistan were both knocked out of the group stage in the T20 World Cup that concluded earlier this month. Sri Lanka stunned New Zealand and also registered wins over Ireland and Scotland, but losses to the West Indies and England meant they couldn’t make it to the semifinals.

Sri Lanka have shuffled their squad for the series against Pakistan while also keeping their core intact. They have called up U19 players Sanjana Kavindi and Chamudi Praboda while 19-year-old pacer Rashmika Sewwandi has also been recalled. Lollapalooza Kicks Off With Heat, John Summit, Lorde And A Ferris Wheel

DOWNTOWN — “Lollapalooza, it is hot in here!” Between Friends front woman Savannah Hudson exclaimed into the microphone to a packed crowd at the Bud Light stage on Thursday afternoon.

The sun blazed down on the growing Grant Park crowd with hot and humid temperatures continuing throughout the day as sweaty guests explored performances, new festival activations, sponsored pop-ups and more, awaiting headliners like Lorde and Chicago-area native John Summit.

It was another busy session down under with the Blues' full focus on making it back-to-back wins to start our pre-season campaign. To do that, Chelsea have to beat old rivals Spurs as, for the first time ever, we do battle outside of London. The Accor Stadium in Sydney is the impressive venue.

The gyms and training pitches were alight with activity as Levi Colwill, Romeo Lavia, Cole Palmer, Joao Pedro and Estevao Willian were among the Blues continuing their work ahead of Saturday evening in Australia.
