In the latest series of Netflix documentary “Drive To Surviveâ€, released on Friday, the Australian driver said that he had been threatened by email, describing the atmosphere around what proved to be his final race as “pretty heavy stuffâ€.

Former Alpine Formula 1 driver Jack Doohan received death threats heading into the 2025 Miami Grand Prix weekend, which is revealed in the latest season of Netflix show, “Drive to Survive.”
The Miami race would be Doohan’s final outing for Alpine, before he was replaced by Franco Colapinto. “I had six or seven emails saying if I am still in the car by Miami, all my limbs will be cut off,” Doohan said of the threats in “Drive to Survive.”
The Australian driver faced a lot of pressure ahead of what was his rookie season at Alpine, which ended after just six races. He had replaced Esteban Ocon for the 2024 Abu Dhabi GP, and during the 2024-2025 offseason, Colapinto was added to Alpine’s roster of reserve drivers.
