Injury forces late change to UFC Perth card
UFC Perth has a new match-up just three days before the event in Australia after Jack Jenkins was forced off his featherweight bout with Marwan Rahiki due to an undisclosed injury. UFC announced Wednesday that Ollie Schmid has agreed to step in on less than a week’s notice to face “Freaky” in a 145-pound clash.
Rahiki makes his second walk to the octagon looking to improve to 9-0 since turning pro in 2024, winning all his fights by stoppage with seven knockouts to his credit including second-round stoppages over Ananias Mulumba and Harry Hardwick at Dana White’s Contender Series and UFC, respectively.
