FIM MotoGP Stewards suspend Bezzecchi from the Czech GP

Emotions boiled over on Saturday following his crash out the Sprint, leaving the #72 on the sidelines for Sunday

Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia Racing) will not take part in the Czech GP Grand Prix race. Following his crash out of the Tissot Sprint in Brno, the Italian was involved in an altercation with a marshal and was called to see the FIM MotoGP Stewards.

The FIM MotoGP Stewards document, which explains that they have suspended Bezzecchi from the Czech GP, says that “following a crash you pushed and struck circuit Marshals who were trying to recover your machine.”

That is an infringement of Article 3.3.2.2, an action “prejudicial to the interests of the sport”.

Marco Bezzecchi suspended for marshal incident in Brno MotoGP Sprint

MotoGP title leader Marco Bezzecchi has been suspended from the 2026 Czech Grand Prix.

Marco Bezzecchi’s Saturday at the Brno MotoGP has got a lot worse after the world championship leader was suspended from Sunday's grand prix for an altercation with marshals in the Sprint.

The incident, not broadcast on the live TV coverage, occurred while marshals were recovering Bezzecchi’s fallen Aprilia from the Turn 3 gravel trap with two laps to go.

As the bike was being lifted, one of the marshals appeared to accidentally twist the throttle of the RS-GP, causing the engine to rev.

The FIM MotoGP Stewards state that Bezzecchi then "pushed and struck circuit Marshals who were trying to recover your machine."
