A crash that spilled diesel on the Pacific Motorway at Greenslopes has caused traffic into Brisbane to be funnelled through one lane for hours.
Police said a ute that had been towing a trailer suspected to contain a fuel can filled with diesel had crashed and rolled over near exit five about 5.30am.
Officers closed two of the M3’s three northbound lanes while emergency crews cleaned the spill.
The closures remained in place until almost 8.30am, although traffic was backed up for up to 14 kilometres behind the crash site shortly after 9am.
