    The White House announces the first Freedom Fuel gas station, selling gas at $3.47 a gallon

    The White House announced the first "Freedom Fuel" gas station, which it says is selling gas at a below-market rate of $3.47 a gallon. 

    In a post on social media platform X on Tuesday, the White House announced that the first Freedom Fuel location "has LANDED in Philadelphia."

    It added that the $3.47 price tag is a nod to President Trump, who, in his second term in office, is serving as the nation's 47th president. On Wednesday, the national average cost for a gallon of gas across the U.S. was $3.80, according to AAA.

    "President Trump is leading the charge to lower gas prices this summer — putting more money in your pocket," the White House added in the post. 

    Trump-promoted Freedom Fuel gas stations are opening around Philly. Here’s what we know.

    A number of Freedom Fuel stations are opening across the region, but a lot remains unclear how they're offering cheaper fuel prices.

    Philadelphia-area drivers can now fill up their tanks with less-expensive gasoline promoted by President Donald Trump’s administration, but details on the entire enterprise remain scarce.

    The White House on Tuesday announced the opening of the first Freedom Fuel gas station in Upper Dublin Township, at a former Sunoco station.

    In the undated video, drivers happily filled their tanks for $3.47 a gallon, which the White House said was to honor “our 47th President.” That’s cheaper than the least-expensive gas at nearby stations, according to prices posted by GasBuddy.

    Fery will face Alexander Zverev for place in men’s final

    It would have been perfectly reasonable for Arthur Fery to have finally betrayed a few nerves as he stood a point away from establishing a two-set lead in his first grand slam quarter-final. Any tension or fear he may have felt, however, was completely overpowered by his unwavering self-belief and certainty that has defined the greatest fortnight of his life.

    Leading by a set and 6-4 in the second set tie-break, Fery leapt forward to meet Flavio Cobolli’s second serve on the rise, and he immediately followed up his sweet backhand return by sweeping forward to the net. Fery’s subsequent backhand drop volley stopped dead on the grass, killing the second set in the process.

    Dylan Brown's first ever NRL field goal has lifted Newcastle to a dramatic 13-12 win over the Dolphins.

    Brown's 76th-minute one-pointer was against the grain in Newcastle, where the Dolphins dominated possession and territory in the second half as they hunted a ninth straight victory.

    For a man who shoved his broken wrist back into place – twice – Blayke Brailey is surprisingly squeamish about the eight-centimetre scar left behind.

    “I can’t even look at it,” the Sharks skipper and Blues bench hooker says.

    “I get queasy about blood and those sorts of things. Even a scar like this, I don’t like looking at it.”

    However, the playing group for the Blues is under immense pressure as well and when asked if the clash in Brisbane could be do-or-die for some members of the team, Johns gave a resounding answer and suggested some replacements.

    “Number one will probably be fullback – Teddy [James Tedesco] is 33 and his replacement if he wasn’t there is Dylan Edwards, who is in his thirties as well and we all know that players like Kaeo Weekes are the next generation.

    Leading edge: How eight club captains can help Blues win decider

    Brisbane: Isaah Yeo will lead NSW onto Suncorp Stadium on Wednesday night buoyed by the fact he’ll be followed by a further seven NRL club captains.

    That wealth of leadership experience means it is unlikely the Blues will lose their composure in the series decider against Queensland.

    Yeo and fellow Penrith co-captain Nathan Cleary will be joined by fellow captains Cameron Murray (South Sydney), James Tedesco (Sydney Roosters), Stephen Crichton (Canterbury), Mitchell Moses (Parramatta), Blayke Brailey (Cronulla) and Mitch Barnett (New Zealand Warriors).

    Payne Haas has also captained Brisbane, Addin Fonua-Blake was elevated to Sharks skipper during Magic Round and Hudson Young has stepped into the role at the Raiders whenever Joe Tapine has been off the field.

    NINE players who could debut for the NSW Blues in 2027

    The NSW Blues will aim to avoid a fourth series loss in five years on Wednesday evening, with Laurie Daley's side looking to defend their coach, and their own status in the State of Origin side moving forward.

    Games 1 and 2 have been anything but good for the Blues, but with a look to the future, it's clear there is plenty of talent ready to rumble.

    Some of the players on this list were mind boggling misses this year, and others are banging on the door already.

    We have left Terrell May off the list given what is a perceived lack of appetite from the NSWRL to have him represent the state, but otherwise, all eligible players were considered, with the likes of Phoenix Crossland (who is eligible under the new rules and in fine form), and Reuben Garrick who could well light things up when he moves to the Sydney Roosters next year the closest to miss out.

    Lauding "lethal" Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow's freakish speed and talents, Queensland great Greg Inglis is all but resigned to losing his all-time State of Origin try-scoring record to the Hammer. 

    Inglis needed 32 matches to amass his 18 four-pointers during an illustrious 10-times series-winning Origin career spanning from 2006 to 2018.

    Tabuai-Fidow, known as "Hammer", has already nailed 13 tries from 12 games, including one in each match of this year's series that will be decided at Suncorp Stadium on Wednesday night.

    When Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow made his way into Maroons camp, fresh off producing a miraculous try-saving tackle on Kurt Capewell, he made a beeline for his Queensland teammate.

    “I had a chat to him when we first got in, but there wasn’t too much – I just told him ‘don’t step into me again’,” Tabuai-Fidow laughed.

    There is every chance Tabuai-Fidow will end next season as a State of Origin legend, and yet somehow, he’s still viewed as underrated.

    Few can match the Maroons strike weapon for speed, with his mentor Matt Bowen famously once saying no one will ever know how fast ‘the Hammer’ is – he is simply as quick as he needs to be in whatever situation.
