Grammys 2026 LIVE updates: Early win for Tame Impala, as stars bring the glamour to red carpet

Add articles to your saved list and come back to them anytime.

It’s that time of year again, folks. Your favourite artists, songs and albums are about to go head to head, battling it out for a coveted golden gramophone. That’s right – it’s the Grammys!

Last year was packed with solid music, from dance-pop bangers like PinkPantheress’ Illegal to rap masterpieces like Kendrick Lamar’s TV Off. Justin Bieber came back (he released his first new studio album since 2021), we all became obsessed with Olivia Dean and Bad Bunny broke the record for most-streamed global artist on Spotify. Oh, and it’s the first year a K-pop artist has been nominated for record of the year. In other words, there’s a lot to celebrate today.

See Every Look From the Grammys 2026 Red Carpet

Live from Los Angeles, it’s the 2026 Grammys red carpet! Music’s biggest night is back at the Crypto.com Arena, where Trevor Noah will play host for the sixth consecutive year.

Of the night’s nominees, we have high fashion hopes for Kendrick Lamar, whose album GNX leads the pack with nine nods (with any luck, he’ll pull out another pair of Celine flares), as well as red carpet risk-takers like Lady Gaga, Tyler, the Creator, and Bad Bunny. Plus, with Sabrina Carpenter, Addison Rae, Olivia Dean, and Katseye among the night’s performers, we imagine the Grammys stage will be just as packed with high-caliber style.

Major rule change coming to Wordle

Wordlers, your favorite game just changed the rules: As of Monday, February 2, previously-played words may be reused.

"Hey, Wordlers! We have some exciting news to share," the New York Times stated in its Gameplay newsletter on January 28, according to Tom's Guide. "Starting on Monday, we will begin adding previously run words back into play."

Rest assured, though, that answers may still be new words. "There are still many first-time answers to debut, but also more chances for Wordle in ones and those magical, serendipitous moments when Wordle overlaps with real life," the statement continued. "Happy solving!"

Now that old words are back in play, there are many more options for game creators to choose from. This will likely change how Wordlers play, especially those who participate every day. But such is the case with this five-letter word: CHANGE.

I was gaslit by doctors for years. A hysterectomy finally gave me my life back

Blurred vision, exhaustion and bleeding gums were just some of Keltie Knight’s symptoms of a rare type of anaemia

Keltie Knight is a Canadian-born American television presenter and podcast host.

When you’re a well-known 43-year-old American television host, life runs at 100 miles per hour. It’s a cut-throat industry, and there’s no room for error. So when, a couple of years ago, my vision became so blurry that I couldn’t read the teleprompter on set, I started to panic.

Before I began working in television, I was a professional ballet dancer, so I always had this attitude that “pain is gain”. But as my career on television took off and I became extremely busy, my health started to deteriorate more and more.

Liam Rosenior speaks after Chelsea came from 2-0 down to defeat West Ham 3-2 in the Premier League. (0:55)

Liverpool could battle Chelsea in the race to land Rennes center back Jérémy Jacquet, while the Blues are preparing a €30 million offer to sign young Nantes defender Tylel Tati. Join us for the latest transfer news and rumors from around the globe.

    – Chelsea are ready to make a €30 million bid to sign Nantes center back Tylel Tati, according to L'Equipe. Tati, 18, has played 19 games for Nantes this season and has attracted interest from around Europe. The Blues need a defender this window, due to injuries, but are set to bring Mamadou Sarr back and terminate his loan at Strasbourg, while Aaron Anselmino will head to the French side on loan instead. The report claims Tati would sign for Chelsea and re-join Nantes on loan.

Chelsea set for busy transfer deadline day as part one of triple deal agreed

Chelsea are preparing to loan Aaron Anselmino to Strasbourg for the rest of the season, amid talks over whether to recall Mamadou Sarr before Monday’s transfer deadline.

Sarr has impressed at Strasbourg this season and Liam Rosenior is an admirer of the 20-year-old French centre-back from his time with the Ligue 1 club.

Chelsea have been assessing their centre-back options and Stamford Bridge sources suggest any decision to recall Sarr would not have a bearing on talks over their move to sign Jeremy Jacquet from Rennes.

Jacquet has made it clear he wants to join Chelsea but Rennes do not want to lose him midway through the season. Liverpool also like Jacquet.

Chelsea hatch fresh centre-back plan as Liam Rosenior looks to recall ANOTHER loanee amid Jeremy Jacquet transfer pursuit

Chelsea are reportedly keen on recalling another loanee as Liam Rosenior seeks to bolster his centre-back options. The Blues have been keen on signing Rennes defender Jeremy Jacquet but that deal is proving difficult. Rather than splashing the cash yet again, it seems the Stamford Bridge outfit are keen on making better use of players on their own books for the second half of the season.

Ahead of the final days of the winter transfer window, Chelsea are without injured centre-backs Tosin Adarabioyo and Levi Colwill. Trevoh Chalobah and Wesley Fofana are their first-choice defenders at present, but Benoit Badiashile and Josh Acheampong have also played in that position this season. It seems the Chelsea hierarchy are not convinced with their defensive options, especially as they want Rennes' Jacquet. Earlier this week, the Blues also recalled young Argentine centre-back Aaron Anselmino from his loan spell at Borussia Dortmund. But are they done there?

The Trail Blazers sent back a 2027 Atlanta second-rounder to the Hawks along with a 2030 second-rounder via the New York Knicks.

Krejci has averaged 9.0 points and 2.2 3-pointers made per game on 42.3% shooting, which ranks among the NBA's top 20. He brings additional floor spacing to a Trail Blazers team competing for a play-in tournament berth this season.

The Hawks now have seven future second-rounders at their disposal, according to ESPN's Bobby Marks. The move allows them to create roster space if they decide to waive Reath as well.

Hawks Trading Vit Krejci To Trail Blazers

3:40 pm: The trade is official, the Hawks and Trail Blazers announced.

11:20 am: The Hawks and Trail Blazers have agreed to a trade, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania, who reports (via Twitter) that Vit Krejci will be heading to Portland for Duop Reath and two second-round picks.

The Hawks will receive their own 2027 second-round pick back from Portland, as well as New York’s 2030 second-rounder, per Jake Fischer of The Stein Line (Twitter link). The Blazers controlled both of those picks from previous trades.

Reath, a 6’9″ big man, recently underwent season-ending foot surgery. Although he doesn’t state it outright, Charania suggests Reath could be waived to open a roster spot for the Hawks (Twitter link). ‘She needs to fix it’: Jeffrey Epstein’s plot to win redemption via Sarah Ferguson

Newly released files reveal how the paedophile tried to leverage his relationship with the former Duchess of York

When Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York, was confronted in 2011 about her closeness to the paedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein she could not have been more fulsome in her regret.

“I personally, on behalf of myself, deeply regret that Jeffrey Epstein became involved in any way with me,” she said. “I abhor paedophilia and any sexual abuse of children and know that this was a gigantic error of judgment on my behalf. I am just so contrite I cannot say.”

In the interview with the Daily Telegraph, Ferguson admitted that she allowed Epstein to pay off £15,000 of her debts. “Whenever I can I will repay the money and will have nothing ever to do with Jeffrey Epstein ever again,” she added.

'Marry me' and £20,000 for rent – key Sarah Ferguson revelations in Epstein emails

For Sarah Ferguson and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, this latest drop of Epstein emails will only add to their embarrassment.

Not only will they be reeling from the photo of the former Prince Andrew, appearing to kneel on all fours over a female lying on the ground. But Andrew's ex-wife and daughters are also repeatedly mentioned in the files themselves.

The former Duchess of York – who has faced her own Epstein controversies – is seen praising the late convicted sex offender as the "brother I have always wished for".

There is also more insight into her financial dealings with Epstein, and her requests for money from him.

UN risks 'imminent financial collapse', secretary general warns

The United Nations is at risk of "imminent financial collapse" due to member states not paying their fees, the body's head has warned.

António Guterres said the UN faced a financial crisis which was "deepening, threatening programme delivery", and that money could run out by July.

He wrote in a letter to all 193 member states that they had to honour their mandatory payments or overhaul the organisation's financial rules to avoid collapse.

It comes after the UN's largest contributor, the US, refused to contribute to its regular and peacekeeping budgets, and withdrew from several agencies it called a "waste of taxpayer dollars". Several other members are in arrears or are simply refusing to pay.

Guterres warns of UN’s ‘imminent financial collapse’

The UN chief has told member states that the organization is at risk of “imminent financial collapse,” citing unpaid fees and a budget rule that forces the global body to return unspent money, a letter seen by Reuters on Friday showed.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has repeatedly spoken about the organization’s worsening liquidity crisis but this is his starkest warning yet, and it comes as its main contributor the United States is retreating from multilateralism on numerous fronts.

“The crisis is deepening, threatening programme delivery and risking financial collapse. And the situation will deteriorate further in the near future,” Guterres wrote in a letter to ambassadors dated January 28.
