Magic escape Clippers in 111-109 victory

The Orlando Magic were already facing an uphill battle when they entered Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers inside Intuit Dome.

Not only was Orlando at a rest disadvantage playing on the second night of a back-to-back at Los Angeles, but Jamahl Mosley‘s squad was also without Franz Wagner (left high ankle sprain injury management) and Jalen Suggs (back spasms) for a second game in a row.

But after falling by three points in double overtime Saturday night at Phoenix, the Magic didn’t let the excuses stop them from digging deep late and capturing a 111-109 victory.

Jalen Green (hamstring) questionable for Wednesday

Jalen Green (hamstring) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. (NBA Injury Report)

Green has recently been back in the lineup for Phoenix after missing much of the season due to a hamstring injury. The team may let him sit out on Wednesday night, however, to manage his workload and prevent him from re-aggravating his injury. If that's the case, look for Collin Gillespie and Jordan Goodwin to benefit from his absence.

Anthony Edwards Could Be Sidelined for Wolves' Last Game Before Break

The Timberwolves have listed Anthony Edwards as questionable for Wednesday night's home game against the Trail Blazers due to an illness.

Edwards, who scored 30 points in Minnesota's blowout win over the Hawks on Monday night, has labored through ailments this season. He missed four games with a hamstring strain early in the season, and a toe infection, which the team has called "right foot injury maintenance," has caused to him miss some time as well.

If he doesn't play Wednesday night, it'll be his 10th missed game of the season. That's uncharacteristic for Edwards, who missed a total of nine games in the previous three seasons combined.

Austin Reaves returns for Lakers' 125-109 rout of Nets after missing 19 games

Austin Reaves returned to the Los Angeles Lakers in Tuesday's 125-109 rout of the Brooklyn Nets after missing the team's past 19 games with a calf injury. Head coach JJ Redick announced his availability shortly before tip-off.

Reaves, sidelined with a Grade 2 left calf strain, hadn't played for the Lakers since Christmas Day. The fifth-year guard came off the bench and Redick told reporters he would play under a minutes restriction. He finished with 15 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals on 3-of-9 shooting (including 1-for-5 on 3-pointers) from the floor and made 8 of his 10 free throws in 21 minutes.

“We’ve missed him in every facet,” said Redick, via ESPN's Dave McMenamin. "Both as an on-ball player, off-ball player, a connector, leadership on the court, competitive spirit — competitive spirit, defensively."
