Spurs 119-115 Clippers (17 Mar, 2026) Game Recap

INGLEWOOD, Calif. — — Victor Wembanyama had 21 points and 13 rebounds, and the San Antonio Spurs overcame an early 14-point deficit before blowing most of a 24-point lead and recovering to hold off the Los Angeles Clippers 119-115 on Monday night.

Stephon Castle had 23 points, eight assists and seven rebounds to lead the Spurs (50-18), who reached 50 wins for the first time since 2016-17 and trail the first-place Thunder by three games in the West. Devin Vassell added 20 points.

Fighting to secure a spot for the play-in tournament, the Clippers' second straight loss dropped them back to .500 with Kawhi Leonard watching from the bench. The NBA's sixth-leading scorer sat out with a sprained left knee.

Thunder 119-98 Spurs (14 Jan, 2026) Game Recap

OKLAHOMA CITY — — Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 34 points, and the defending NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder beat San Antonio 119-98 on Tuesday night to earn their first win in four tries against the Spurs this season.

Jalen Williams added 20 points and Chet Holmgren chipped in eight points, 10 rebounds and three blocks for Oklahoma City. The Thunder improved to a league-best 34-7 at the midway point of the season — on pace to match last season’s 68-14 regular-season finish.

Stephon Castle scored 20 points and Victor Wembanyama added 17 points and seven rebounds for the Spurs.

San Antonio started the night in second place behind Oklahoma City in the Western Conference standings. The Spurs announced their presence as a title contender with the three wins over the Thunder in a two-week span last month, but now they have lost six of 10.

‘Not our Super Bowl’: Reigning MVP’s defiant call in Thunder’s crucial drought-breaking Spurs win

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 34 points as the Oklahoma City Thunder snapped a three-game losing streak against the San Antonio Spurs with a 119-98 victory over their Western Conference rivals on Tuesday.

San Antonio have been the NBA champions’ bogey team this season, winning all three of their previous meetings last month with a series of wins that hinted at a tilt in the balance of power in the West.

But the Thunder’s potent offence and stifling defense finally got the upper hand over the Victor Wembanyama-led Spurs at Oklahoma City’s Paycom Center.

Celtics 129-119 Jazz (31 Dec, 2025) Game Recap

SALT LAKE CITY — — Derrick White scored 13 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter and added a career-high seven blocks in a one-of-a-kind performance Tuesday night that carried the Boston Celtics to a 129-119 win over the Utah Jazz.

White became the 13th player in NBA history to have 27 points, seven rebounds, six assists and seven blocks in a game. But he was the first guard — or member of the Celtics — to post that statistical combination.

Jaylen Brown had 23 points and 10 assists for Boston, ending his streak of 30-point games at nine. He remained tied with Celtics great Larry Bird, who had nine straight 30-point games in February and March of 1985.

Charlie McAvoy explains why this season has been more fun, and how their chemistry has been able to develop better than last year.

There's not much to be excited about when it comes to the Boston Bruins' on-ice performance right now.

The Original Six club suffered its sixth straight loss Monday night with a 2-1 overtime defeat to the Calgary Flames on the road. Penalties were again an issue for Boston as Calgary scored the winning goal with an OT power play.

The Bruins' recent slide has dropped them to the fifth-worst record in the Eastern Conference at 20-18-2 (42 points). However, given how tight the East standings are — only eight points separate first place and 10th place — a couple wins in a row could vault the B's right back into playoff contention.

Karalis: A closer look at Derrick White's seven blocked shots in Utah

Blocking shots is hard, no matter how easy Derrick White makes it look. It’s tough for tall people who block shots for a living, never mind a guard of slight build. The recognition, the understanding of tendencies, and the timing necessary to block a shot aren’t always easy to nail down, so there are often fouls committed in the process of trying … or worse.

Such is the price one pays to be a shot blocker.

But it’s worth the risk, because if a player can get the timing down, anticipate the play, and stay in control, there's a very good chance he’ll make plenty of highlight defensive plays.

Warriors 119-116 Suns (Dec 20, 2025) Game Recap

SAN FRANCISCO — — Stephen Curry had 28 points, nine rebounds and six assists, Jimmy Butler scored 25 points, and the Golden State Warriors snapped a three-game losing streak by beating the Phoenix Suns 119-116 on Saturday night.

Jordan Goodwin's 3-pointer with 1:10 left made it a two-point game before Butler answered on the other end with a driving layup and three-point play. Collin Gillespie missed baseline 3 with 18 seconds remaining and Curry converted a pair of free throws before Gillespie connected from deep with 10 seconds to go — and Curry scored again to go 5 of 6 for 14 points in the fourth quarter.

Devin Booker scored 38 points for the Suns. Dillon Brooks scored 22 points and made his first five shots as Phoenix was a sizzling 70.8% in the opening quarter for a 44-32 lead, but dealt with foul trouble late.

Suns keep playing sloppy in loss to Warriors

The Phoenix Suns’ 1-4 start to the year feels like from an entirely different season but the sloppiness inside those games is starting to bleed into the team’s play the last few weeks, especially in Saturday’s 119-116 loss to the Golden State Warriors.

Plays that can be defined as lazy, lacking effort or a loss of focus were a constant. Foolish turnovers, blown assignments on defense resulting in open shots and not enough intent on the defensive glass were aplenty.

Phoenix shot 71% in the first quarter for a season-high 44 points, which helped cover up some goofs that let Golden State get too many good looks.
