New Jersey Sportsbook Promotions Hide Details In The Fine Print Worth Reading

A good promotion can lose its shine fast when the useful bit expires before you get around to using it. New Jersey bettors have plenty of offers competing for attention, but the smart move is simple: slow down for a minute, read the terms and know what you actually have.

Sportsbook promotions are everywhere in New Jersey, especially when football season starts getting close, but the big number in the ad is only part of the deal. Before you put down the qualifying bet, it helps to know when the bonus arrives, how long you have to use it and what actually comes back if that bonus bet wins.

ASX 200 LIVE: ASX rises for second day; Coles jumps on result, BHP at record, bitcoin hits three-month high

Oil edges higher as Bessent vows punishment for Iran’s partners

The Australian sharemarket climbed for the second session on Tuesday as the high-flying healthcare sector continued its stellar run and investors digested another round of corporate results.

The S&P/ASX 200 Index finished up 0.7 per cent, or 61.50 points, at 9164.60, with nine of the 11 sectors stronger.

Investors also shifted into other risk assets, with bitcoin climbing to $US80,000 for the first time since May, while the market also weighed the minutes from the Reserve Bank of Australia’s August meeting, which showed several members think another interest rate rise may be required to return inflation to target.

ASX gains as Coles, Ansell rise, BHP hits record; Woodside falls

The Australian sharemarket advanced for a second straight day after a flurry of corporate results fuelled broad-based gains, helping it shrug off a mixed finish on Wall Street.

The S&P/ASX 200 finished 61.50 points, or 0.7 per cent, higher at 9164.60, with all 11 industry sectors bar energy in the green. The local market added 0.5 per cent on Monday. The Australian dollar was trading at US71.48¢.

Reporting season continued, with Coles, Woodside Energy and Ansell among companies that released results. Investors also digested the minutes of the Reserve Bank’s latest meeting, when it kept interest rates on hold.

The central bank two weeks ago chose to keep its key rate unchanged at 4.35 per cent on signs that elevated inflation was gradually easing and the labour market beginning to loosen, giving it scope to assess incoming data for any signs that upside risks might “crystallise”.

We had the origin of more than 200 tomato products tested. The results were shocking

One of Australia's biggest tomato brands and two major supermarkets are selling products that independent scientific testing shows do not match the country of origin stated on their labels.

Forensic testing conducted for Four Corners has revealed dozens of tomato paste and passata products that claim to be from Australia or Italy are actually from China.

About half of those are sourced from Xinjiang, an area known internationally for its use of forced labour.

The majority of Leggo's tomato paste products tested, in tins, cans, and bottles, were found to have misleading labels. The company, owned by US food giant Simplot, makes strong claims on its packaging that it sources from Australian farms.

Food fraud investigation reveals the disturbing truth behind the labels

Australians could be paying for food that is not what it claims to be.

A Four Corners investigation has uncovered products whose labels did not match independent scientific testing, raising serious questions about the integrity of Australia's food supply.

From cage-free eggs and Australian seafood to tomato products, spices and alcohol, the findings expose weaknesses in the systems designed to protect consumers.

The eight-month investigation collated thousands of food import inspection records, national food recalls, state regulatory records and international food fraud intelligence.

It found that, despite hundreds of contaminated or unsafe food products being detected at the border each year, including rice containing arsenic and cheese contaminated with listeria, only a fraction of imported food is inspected, and testing for dangerous contaminants has declined since 2019.

Stock futures slip after U.S. initiates another round of attacks against Iran: Live updates

U.S. equity futures fell slightly Wednesday evening after the market sold off on renewed U.S.-Iran tensions and a jump in oil prices.

Futures tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average were down 56 points, or 0.1%. S&P 500 futures fell 0.1%, and Nasdaq 100 futures lost 0.2% as well.

The U.S. launched fresh strikes on Iran in response to Tehran's attacks on commercial shipping in and around the Strait of Hormuz, U.S. Central Command said Wednesday afternoon. West Texas Intermediate crude futures were last up roughly 1%.

Earlier in the day, President Donald Trump said he may no longer be interested in negotiating a deal with Iran. Prior to that, he said that the ceasefire between the U.S. and Tehran is "over" after another wave of attacks in the Middle East.

US stock markets fall amid Iran strikes and potential higher interest rates

Dow down 1.09%, or 500 points, as S&P 500 sees a small loss and tech-heavy Nasdaq rises slightly

US stock markets fell on Wednesday as the US continued strikes on Iran and the Federal Reserve flagged concerns that would warrant higher interest rates.

Donald Trump’s declaration at the Nato summit in Ankara that the Iran-US ceasefire is over sent oil prices sharply higher on Wednesday. Brent crude, the global benchmark, jumped more than 5% to crest $80 a barrel. US stocks fell in step, with the Dow down 1.09%, or 500 points, at closing Wednesday afternoon. The S&P 500 saw a small loss while the tech-heavy Nasdaq rose slightly. Global stocks had fallen earlier in the day, with the UK’s FTSE 100 down 1% as Japan’s Nikkei fell 2.1%.

Chip stocks drop as AI rally shows ‘signs of fatigue’, as SpaceX’s huge IPO looms – as it happened

Technology shares prices are falling at the start of trading in New York, after chip giant Broadcom failed to impress Wall Street last night.

The Nasdaq share index has dropped by 1.08% in early trading, as the recent strong rally in tech stocks hits a hurdle.

This is not a great backdrop for SpaceX’s plans for the largest stock market flotation ever, announced last night.

Broadcom are leading the Nasdaq fallers, down 14.3% as its latest outlook for AI sales missed forecasts.

Last night, Broadcom estimated AI chip sales for the third quarter of its financial year would be $16bn, below analysts’ estimates of $17.2bn.

Commonwealth Bank shares have suffered their largest one-day fall on record, closing 10.4 per cent lower today.

The previous worst day for Australia's biggest bank was in March 2020, when the stock dropped 10 per cent in the early days of the pandemic.

CBA's major peers also came under pressure on the ASX, with Westpac (-2.8pc), ANZ (-1.6pc) and NAB (-1.5pc) shares all dropping.

Plex’s 200% Lifetime Pass price hike tries forcing users to another subscription

Plex says that it has considered getting rid of Lifetime Passes.

As of July 1, at 12:01 am UTC—or June 30 at 8:01 pm ET—people seeking access to Plex’s media server features through a one-time purchase will have to pay $750. That’s three times the current price of $250.

The new price will not affect current Lifetime Plex Pass holders.

A Lifetime Plex Pass allows you to stream from your own Plex Media Server to a device connected to your own network, to stream from the server remotely, and to allow others to stream remotely from your server.

When first launched in 2012, a Lifetime Plex Pass was $75. In 2014, Plex increased the price to $150 because “at 2.5x the price of a yearly, it was priced in an unsustainable way for us,” Plex said in a blog post at the time. Eventually, lifetime passes were available for $120 for years until March 2025, when the price skyrocketed to $250. That brings us to today’s announcement.

Plex is tripling the price of a lifetime pass to $750 after doubling it last year

I am dying to know how much money Plex is about to make the next six weeks charging people to stream their own video from their own homes. Today, it’s giving every prospective customer until July 1st to lock in a lifetime subscription at today’s rates — before it triples the price to $750.

Ludicrous Plex lifetime pass increase to $749.99 is too expensive for watching your owned media

The self-hosted movie and TV show streaming platform Plex has jacked up the cost of its lifetime pass 200% to $749.99. It's an insane move that will make users think twice about using the app.

For years, people with extensive digital home libraries of content have relied on Plex to create their own private in-house Netflix. However, after a change to how it is priced, some users may decide to look elsewhere.

The Lifetime Plex Pass is for users who want to use Plex to stream to their iPhone and Apple TV, but without paying a monthly or annual fee. However, while it was previously a hefty $249.99 charge in the United States, it is being increased considerably.
