Knowing which players are on the rise each week, or going the opposite way, is an important step to making sure you're starting the best lineups every day. Every Friday, we'll take stock of the league to find the players to add, trade for or trade away.

Value is value, and we're looking for way way we can find it, whether you're playing in a points or category-based league.

This week, a couple of Memphis Grizzlies, some defensive centers, and the No. 2 overall NBA Draft pick are on the rise. On the flip side, let's monitor a few players losing their current opportunity or dealing with a shooting slump. Good luck out there as the NBA gets close to an intriguing Christmas week schedule.

Fantasy Basketball Trade Analyzer: It's time to buy into Paolo Banchero

As trade winds continue to blow across the NBA, fantasy basketball managers can also wheel-and-deal to help their chances of winning a championship. Here are some players to consider buying low on, selling high on or who are worth holding onto in fantasy at this time.

Banchero recently missed 10 games with a groin injury. He jumped right back into the starting lineup when he returned, but the Magic limited him to fewer than 25 minutes in each of his first two games. He has seen his playing time increase in both games since, topping out at 35 minutes in Saturday's game against the Knicks. In that matchup, he produced 25 points, eight rebounds, three assists and one steal.

    Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Starting Saturday

Spencer is part of the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Wizards.

Spencer will return from a one-game absence for personal reasons in time to make his second start of the campaign. With Ja Morant (ankle) and Vince Williams (knee) sidelined, Spencer should see plenty of ball-handling duties Saturday. Spencer has scored in double figures in 10 straight games, averaging 16.9 points, 5.2 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 1.0 steals across 25.6 minutes.

Phoenix Suns Add Superstar Forward in Wild Trade Proposal | Why The Phoenix Suns Should Take A Ri…

Explore the latest developments concerning Phoenix Suns Add.

Phoenix Suns Add Superstar Forward in Wild Trade Proposal

The Phoenix Suns decided to end the Kevin Durant experiment over the summer. They decided to trade him to the Houston Rockets. It was an acknowledgement that things were not working out between the team and the star forward.

Since making that trade, the Suns have started playing much better basketball. Right now, they sit seventh in the Western Conference standings. They seem to have better chemistry for whatever reason. Yet, they have some ammunition to make a bigger trade if they want.

One wild trade proposal from Bleacher Report has the Suns making a big trade for Zion Williamson.

Why The Phoenix Suns Should Take A Risk And Acquire Zion Williamson

The Phoenix Suns underwent a massive shift this offseason. By trading Kevin Durant and waiving Bradley Beal, the Suns effectively ended their “Big Three” era, opting instead to retool around Devin Booker. Although this put them in a position to be perceived as one of the weaker teams in the Western Conference, the team has surpassed expectations.

With a 14-12 record, the Phoenix Suns are currently placed seventh in the Western Conference standings. Given that they are only 2.5 games outside of the Minnesota Timberwolves in sixth place, the Suns could realistically assert themselves as a playoff contender this season.

Keeping their position in mind, the Suns could take an alternative approach to the season and commit to securing a playoff berth. To facilitate this, Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley presented a swap deal, sending Zion Williamson to the Suns in exchange for Jalen Green.
