    Daredevil Born Again Season 2 review — 'hits the bullseye'

    The construction of Daredevil: Born Again’s first season was infamously Frankensteinian. A creative overhaul mid-production — complete with new writers and stronger ties to Daredevil’s Netflix incarnation — was the right call, but it left a patchy, incomplete residue in its wake. With its sophomore effort, returning showrunner Dario Scardapane has the benefit of presenting one unified vision from beginning to end. The result is a season that’s not only better than its immediate predecessor, but in some ways as good as Daredevil has ever been on screen.

    As ever, the biggest reasons for that are Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio. As Daredevil — now clad in a black-and-red suit, with comics-accurate interlocking Ds — and Fisk, they routinely plumb the depths of their characters’ emotions, even when the writing is broadly familiar.

    Australia overcame a threat from Hayley Matthews to defend 164 for the second time in three days

    Alana King has continued pushing her case for a T20 World Cup berth, again playing the starring role with the ball as Australia closed out a T20I series win over the West Indies in St Vincent.

    King picked up 2-25, while Hayley Matthew's 41-ball 56 was not enough as the tourists were restricted to 4-147 at Arnos Vale Stadium, securing a 17-run win and unassailable 2-0 series lead for Australia.

    It followed King's 3-14 in the series opener, with leg-spin again the main weapon for Australia with Georgia Wareham (1-16) the other wicket taker.

    Australia has wrapped up its T20 series against the West Indies with a game in hand, claiming a 17-run win on Sunday morning, AEDT. 

    Spinner Alana King took two wickets to help Australia defend its first innings total of 5-164.

    The final match of the series will be held on Tuesday morning, AEDT, with Australia holding a 2-0 series lead.

    White gold is not what most of the Olympic athletes are generally looking for at the moment, but it arrived aplenty nonetheless. It was blower today across the Alps, though there were a fair few avalanches too. It was a good day for those of us with the morning off but it doesn't tend to make for ideal competition conditions. Unfortunately, by the time evening rolled around, it was blowy rather than blower, with wind sweeping through the Olympic venue. There was an hour-ish delay, featuring guys with snowblowers and other creative ways of getting rid of snow. Mathilde Gremaud and Anouk Andraska, both Swiss finalists, crashed in training and didn't make it to the start gate. It was a challenging day all around but the ladies put down a storming final nonetheless, it was super exciting right to the last jump.

    Competing at his fifth Olympics, James became Australia’s most decorated winter athlete with three medals, winning another silver after Beijing as well as the bronze he won eight years ago in Pyeongchang.

    For a brief moment yesterday Jock Landale was off to the Utah Jazz as part of an eight-player trade that also included his star Grizzlies teammate Jaren Jackson Jr.

    But according to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the 30-year-old Australian centre has now been re-routed to the Atlanta Hawks in a move that—if it sticks—will see Landale link with fellow Boomers stars Dyson Daniels and Duop Reath who himself was only recently acquired from the Portland Trail Blazers.

    Landale is in the midst of his best ever season in the NBA, averaging career highs in points (11.3), minutes (23.6), rebounds (6.5) and assists (1.7).

    Jazz Quickly Flip Player From Jaren Jackson Jr. Deal to Hawks

    The Utah Jazz have wasted no time flipping one of the moving pieces involved in their blockbuster deal to acquire Jaren Jackson Jr. to another team: that's big man Jock Landale, who's reportedly heading to the Atlanta Hawks.

    According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Jazz are sending Landale to the Hawks for cash considerations.

    Hawks just made the trade fans have been begging for

    The Atlanta Hawks added center Jock Landale for free – just the move we’ve been waiting for.

    Atlanta’s big man struggles have been no secret. With Kristaps Porzingis missing over 67% of the season thus far, the team has been forced to rely on a cast of unprepared power forwards to play the five. 

    As a result, the Hawks have one of the weakest interior presences in the league. Atlanta ranks in the bottom three in both rim deterrence (shots allowed at the rim) and offensive rebounding, and 11th-worst in defensive rebounding. This is no way to win basketball games.
