    Australian Retirement Trust Reviews Creative

Australian Retirement Trust is reviewing its creative account, B&T can reveal.

ART has had a very fruitful three-year relationship with incumbent agency M&C Saatchi, which won the account in 2023.

Together, they have collected a stack of awards for the super firm’s monstrous ‘Awaken Your Super’ campaign.

ART confirmed to B&T it was reviewing its creative account.

B&T understands that M+C Saatchi has declined to re pitch for the account.

The ‘Awaken Your Super’ campaign centres on challenging the notion that for the majority of Aussies, superannuation isn’t seen to be as active, interesting or relevant as the rest of their money.

Australian Retirement Trust March 02: Creative Review Signals Brand Shift

Australian Retirement Trust is launching a creative agency review as Kathy Vincent CEO sets a sharper strategy for the $370 billion superannuation fund. This signals a brand shift aimed at stronger member growth and better engagement. For investors, even small moves at Australian Retirement Trust can affect mandate sizes, liquidity, and pricing across ASX equities, credit, and private markets. We explain why this marketing decision matters for capital flows, what to watch in the next phase, and how it may ripple through Australian assets.

The creative agency review covers strategy, brand platform, and campaign development across paid, owned, and member touchpoints. According to Australian Retirement Trust Reviews Creative, the process seeks sharper positioning to win default flows and improve retention. For Australian Retirement Trust, stronger engagement can lift net inflows, reduce churn, and support scale benefits in fees. Better clarity on value and service also helps advice uptake and insurance attachment.

ABC pulls Australian Story episode, "Nabbed."

ABC has made a last minute change to Australian Story this evening, pulling an episode “Nabbed,” due to an “editorial issue.”

An ABC spokesperson told TV Tonight, “There was an editorial issue. No further info at this time sorry.”

The episode profiles pensioner Ian Williams, a self-confessed “stubborn bugger” who sued NAB over online scamming.

ABC has also deleted synopsis info from a number of websites and social media.

When Victorian pensioner Ian Williams lost $1338 in a banking scam, he expected a quick refund and apology. But his bank, a subsidiary of the National Australia Bank, blamed him for the transactions, despite Ian’s dogged detective work producing clear evidence to the contrary.

Danika Mason: Australian presenter apologises for drinking before slurred Winter Olympics report

An Australian sports presenter has apologised after a clip of her slurring her way through a live cross from the Winter Olympics in Italy went viral, with even Australia's prime minister weighing in.

Channel Nine reporter Danika Mason said she had "misjudged the situation" by drinking ahead of her appearance on live television, also blaming the altitude, the cold and her failure to eat dinner.

"I want to take full responsibility, it's not the standard I set myself," she said during another appearance a day later, adding that she was "embarrassed".

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said he was "pro-Danika" and that there was "nothing to see here" suggesting she had been affected by jet lag.

The sprawling world tour will span more than 50 cities across North America, Europe, the UK, Africa, Australia and New Zealand – but for Aussie fans, the big takeaway is simple: Cole World is coming back to local stages. The tour lands in support of his brand-new seventh studio album The Fall Off, which dropped earlier this month via Cole World, Inc. and Interscope. It’s been one of the most anticipated releases of his career, long rumoured, heavily teased, and now finally out in the world – meaning fans can expect plenty of fresh material alongside the classics when he touches down on our shores.

J.Cole plans concert tour with stops in Charlotte, Fayetteville

J.Cole, the Fayetteville-born rapper who named an album after his childhood home address, will come home again on his upcoming international tour.

The tour opens in Charlotte on July 11 and includes a stop in Fayetteville Sept. 23. Those are the only two shows in the Carolinas on a tour that will last into December and include international stops like London, Paris, Sydney and Johannesburg.

“Sizzler can be in hotels or as stand-alone sites, depending on the opportunities.”

The Australian dollar reached a 40-year high against the yen on Monday, making Japan even cheaper for tourists to visit, analysts said.

A record number of Australians visited Japan in 2025, exceeding one million for the first time, according to Japan's tourism agency.

Analysts expect the Australian dollar to remain strong against the yen, but say currency movements can be volatile.

Australians visiting Japan are seeing their trips get even cheaper as the Australian dollar hits a four-decade high against the Japanese yen, foreign exchange analysts say.

investingLive Asia-Pacific FX news wrap: JPY and AUD both climb

It was a Japanese market holiday today, with cash equities and bond trading closed. The yen nevertheless strengthened in regional trade, with USD/JPY dipping below 153.40 in Asian centres. There was no obvious fresh catalyst. Market commentary cited fading concerns about a fiscal crunch in Japan and ongoing divergence between Bank of Japan tightening and Federal Reserve easing.

I’m not entirely convinced by that narrative. On Tuesday (US time), Federal Reserve regional presidents Beth Hammack and Lorie Logan struck steady-to-hawkish tones rather than dovish ones, suggesting the Fed is in no hurry to ease further.

From China, January inflation data showed CPI rising less than expected while producer price deflation persisted. Prior to the release, the People’s Bank of China set the USD/CNY reference rate at its strongest level for the yuan since 11 May 2023. The yuan softened modestly after the data but has since recovered some ground, reinforcing the broader theme of managed stability rather than disorderly weakness.

The Australian Open vs. the U.S. Open: A Yank’s-Eye View | Attending The Australian Open From T…

Explore the latest developments concerning The Australian Open.

The Australian Open vs. the U.S. Open: A Yank’s-Eye View

MELBOURNE — I’ve been fortunate to attend 14 U.S. Opens—and the last three as a credentialed member of the media—so I am familiar with the operations of that tournament, down to details such as the approximate time of day that the sun goes behind the Western bleachers of Court 17. Hence, I was excited to head down under this year for my first Australian Open and get a fresh tennis viewing experience.

The Australian Open has developed a reputation for being as much a festival as it is a sporting event, and the party vibe at Melbourne Park outside of the tennis courts was immediately apparent. Between lawn recliners, bean bag chairs and open grassy areas, there are nearly a dozen spaces where people comfortably congregate to watch tennis on big screens mounted outside the courts. That doesn’t even include the massive dining area or the fan entertainment zone, both of which are somewhat separated from the tennis-focused areas of the grounds.

Attending The Australian Open From The USA Is Actually Cheaper Than Traveling To Go To The U.S. Open

You might be coming in from a cold northern hemisphere day, watching the best tennis players in the world vie for the Australian Open title on TV, and start dreaming of your own escape to Melbourne. Maybe you ignore this desire, thinking of the expense of it all. However, I ran the numbers, and it’s actually less expensive to attend the AO than it is to attend the US Open in New York (at least from the West Coast of the USA.) Flights from California to NYC, for instance, are going to run in the $450 range roundtrip, while you can expect about $1200 round trip from San Francisco or Los Angeles. For the sake of this piece, however, we’re going to drill down into the other costs and suggest you save your miles for your Trans-Pacific flight to Australia next year.

'Extraordinary' Williams refuses to rule out return

Serena Williams has not played since losing to Ajla Tomljanovic in the third round of the US Open in 2022

Serena Williams has refused to rule out returning to professional tennis after recently filing the necessary paperwork.

Williams, who won 23 Grand Slam singles titles, retired after the 2022 US Open.

In December, the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) confirmed to BBC Sport that the 44-year-old was back on the list of players registered for the drug testing pool.

At the time, the American said she was "not coming back" but during an interview on the Today Show on Wednesday, Williams did not rule out stepping back on to the court.

Unforced errors killed Anisimova in that opening set, the fourth seed committing 13 compared to Pegula’s six. The sixth seed also fired down six aces to her foe’s one, as well as sent down twelve winners to eight.

The frustration on Anisimova is evident when she hits a backhand into the net to fall further behind but gets a lifeline when Pegula double faults.
