‘If you’re out there, Bobby’: McRae’s public plea to premiership star
An emotional Craig McRae says Bobby Hill will forever be a beloved Magpie, as Collingwood and the Norm Smith medallist prepare to split.
McRae said on Tuesday he had not seen Hill for some time, the star small forward and father of three dealing with personal issues.
Hill has spent significant time away from the club over the past year, managing only three VFL games this season, and appears certain to part ways with the club.
“[I] haven’t seen Bobby in the building for a while, which it’s always something, as a coach, you go, ‘[I] hope the young lad’s going OK ’,” McRae said, his eyes almost welling up.

Reflecting on his likely departure, the 2018 Brownlow Medallist expressed his sadness over the situation.
“It's just sadness, isn't it?” Mitchell said on SEN’s Locked In with Kane Cornes.
“He's clearly dealing with some things which are much bigger than football.
