Inside the unlikely alliance that broke Trump and unleashed the Epstein files

"The president called me a traitor because I stood with the victims of Jeffrey Epstein … That was a significant turn. He was upset, angry with me, and yelling at me."

Marjorie Taylor Greene has spoken candidly about the moment she decided to go her own way and the wrath of US President Donald Trump that followed, in an interview with the ABC.

Greene had been a very loyal MAGA soldier. She rarely veered off party lines, voting with Mr Trump's position on an overwhelming majority of bills in the US Congress.

She had always been vocal in her support for Trump, campaigning for him across the country, stumping for him at rallies and spinning for him on conservative television. In the words of political commentator Gretchen Carlson, Greene was "full-blood MAGA".

The mystery man who links Andrew with Jeffrey Epstein

In the high-tech megacity of Shenzhen in southern China, Prince Andrew looked on as dancers spun and waved streamers to entertain an audience of investors and innovators.

It was spring 2019, a gala dinner for the Chinese arm of his start-up competition Pitch@Palace – which turned out to be the last.

Within a year, the then-prince would step back from royal life after a disastrous interview about his links with the convicted American sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.

There was a third man in this drama, little known to almost everyone, who was at the event, glimpsed in a brief shot in the official highlights video – David Stern.

Surgeon threatened ex, broke into house before she and her husband were killed, officials say

Newly obtained court documents accuse the Illinois surgeon charged with killing his ex-wife and her new husband of making chilling threats against Monique Tepe and entering the couple’s Ohio home weeks before they were found dead there.

A person identified in a probable cause affidavit as a witness told Columbus police that Michael McKee, 39, told Tepe that he could “kill her at any time and would find her and buy the house right next to her," the document says.

Tepe told the witness about the alleged threat — along with another statement the affidavit attributes to McKee: “She will always be his wife.”

Weeks Before She Was Killed, Monique Tepe Left Night Out Because She Was 'Upset About Something Involving Her Ex-Husband'

Monique Tepe had to excuse herself during a night out with friends because of a situation involving Michael McKee three weeks before she was killed, according to an affidavit

McKee was allegedly captured on neighborhood surveillance breaking into the Tepes' property on that same day in Columbus, per the affidavit

Investigators do not say if Monique and Spencer were aware of the situation at that time

Monique Tepe was still dealing with the fallout from her first marriage eight years after her divorce.

Just three weeks before she and her dentist husband Spencer Tepe were found dead in their Columbus, Ohio, home, Monique had to excuse herself during a night out with friends because of a situation involving ex-husband Michael McKee, according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by PEOPLE.

Government agency deliberately broke law for years, federal watchdog finds

Services Australia became aware that it was not fully complying with new legislation in 2019, but the issue is yet to be rectified.  (AAP: Mick Tsikas)

Services Australia has known it was not fully complying with child support laws for six years, according to a scathing report released by the Commonwealth Ombudsman.

Legislative amendments introduced in 2008 and 2018 created "unintended consequences" in which some parents with less than 35 per cent care of a child were technically eligible for child support, despite a longstanding government policy that this is not the case.

A government spokesperson said legislation to rectify the "technical legal anomaly" would be introduced when parliament next sits in February.

Services Australia has not applied child support law properly and some parents are owed money, report finds

Ombudsman says agency knew for years that part of its child support processing not in line with law

Services Australia knew its internal practices relating to child support payments conflict with the law but did nothing about it for six years, a report from the commonwealth ombudsman has found.

In 2019, the agency identified that its child support practice that stipulated that parents with less than 35% care of a child do not receive financial support was not aligned with the law.

Legally, one parent providing less than 35% care of a child is entitled to receive some support from the other parent, but Services Australia said it has a “longstanding principle” that parents with less than 35% care of a child should not be eligible for child support as applying the law could result in situations where a parent with “little, or even no care, of children” receives payment from the main carer.

A government department has been caught out deliberately breaking the law because of a bizarre loophole which could force separated parents to unfairly pay child support.

An ombudsman's report into Services Australia and the Department of Social Services found the agencies were "knowingly non-compliant" with child support legislation.

Commonwealth Ombudsman Iain Anderson said the scenario was similar to the Robodebt scandal, because it also involved a government department ignoring the law – albeit for a different reason.

Emma Stone Just Broke Oscar Nominations Records With Her ‘Bugonia’ Nods

Stone was nominated in the best actress and best picture categories, the latter for her producer role on the film.

Emma Stone‘s two 2026 Oscar nominations on Thursday — best picture for producing and best actress for starring in Bugonia — broke a few Oscar records.

The 37-year-old has become the second-youngest person — and the youngest woman — in Oscar history to accumulate seven nominations. Only Walt Disney was younger when he reached that tally in 1936, at just 34. Meryl Streep had held the record for women; she was 38 when she was nominated for the seventh time, back in 1988.

Stone also became the first woman to be nominated twice for producing and acting in a single film. Frances McDormand was the first, for 2021’s Nomadland. Stone followed with dual noms for 2023’s Poor Things. And now she has done it again.

How to Watch Emma Stone’s Oscar-Worthy Performance in ‘Bugonia’

"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links."

Could Emma Stone be on the way to winning her third Oscar? The actress has been getting plenty of buzz for her latest film, Bugonia, in which she stars as a powerful CEO (who is believed to be a secret alien). The performance has already earned her nominations for a Golden Globe and Actor Award, and now she’s earned a nod for an Academy Award, too. The film is also nominated for Best Picture, Adapted Screenplay, and Original Score at the Oscars.

Bugonia, which premiered during the 2025 Venice Film Festival and then opened in theaters in October, marks Stone’s fourth collaboration with Yorgos Lanthimos, who previously directed her in Poor Things (which earned Stone her second Oscar), The Favourite, and Kinds of Kindness.
