Burnley 0-0 Bournemouth (Mar 14, 2026) Game Analysis

Burnley and Bournemouth played out a tepid goalless draw at Turf Moor that does little to help either team's Premier League ambitions.

The Clarets managed just a fourth clean sheet in the league this season but remain eight points adrift of safety with only eight games left, while Bournemouth are now unbeaten in 10 matches but really needed three points to boost their European hopes.

Both teams hit the woodwork while Evanilson had a very early shot cleared off the line but neither did enough to merit victory.

Burnley were boosted by the return from injury of joint top scorer Zian Flemming while Bournemouth were without Tyler Adams after he felt some discomfort in training.

Burnley have last-gasp Ashley Barnes goal ruled out for handball in build-up

Relegation-threatened Burnley mounted a stirring comeback to overturn a 3-0 deficit, but were denied a remarkable point as Mikkel Damsgaard struck a dramatic 93rd‑minute winner to give Brentford a 4-3 victory at Turf Moor.

It looked like the visitors were heading for a comfortable win after goals from Damsgaard, Igor Thiago and Kevin Schade inside 34 minutes but Burnley dragged them back into the game.

Jaidon Anthony initiated the comeback as his driven cross was turned into his own goal by Michael Kayode in the dying seconds of the first half, before another strike from Anthony was helped on its way into the goal by Kayode less than two minutes after the restart.

Burnley v Brentford confirmed team news: Kayode returns, Kelleher out

Goalkeeper Hákon Valdimarsson also comes into the team for the absent Caoimhín Kelleher. On Kelleher, Andrews stated: "Caoimhín’s partner had a baby. We are delighted for them and we wish them well, but he couldn’t play today."

The other changes see Mikkel Damsgaard, Yehor Yarmoliuk and Kevin Schade replace Vitaly Janelt, Jordan Henderson and Keane Lewis-Potter, with the latter two named among the substitutes and Janelt unavailable with a knock.

19-year-old defender Ollie Shield is named on a Premier League bench for the first time, alongside Brentford B midfielder Luka Bentt, who made his debut in the FA Cup against Macclesfield.

Chelsea player ratings vs Burnley: Wesley Fofana, that is CRAZY! Frenchman's stupid red card costs Blues dearly as James Ward-Prowse proves he's still a set-piece king

Chelsea were held to a 1-1 draw by relegation-battling Burnley on Saturday afternoon, with the 10-man Blues conceding an equaliser in the 93rd minute at Stamford Bridge. Liam Rosenior's men moved back into the Premier League's top four ahead of Manchester United on goal difference, though will feel they missed the chance to steal a march on their rivals for Champions League qualification.

It took only four minutes for Chelsea to take the lead. The hosts worked the ball well from back to front with Moises Caicedo picking the lock for Pedro Neto to chase a through ball onto the left wing, and he crossed low for Joao Pedro to bundle over the line.

The latest training pictures are in! Our work has continued at our Cobham training base ahead of this weekend's Premier League contest with Burnley.

The Blues will be looking to stretch our unbeaten Premier League run to six games when we host the Clarets on Saturday, with full focus on securing another positive result.

Our head coach, Liam Rosenior, previewed the match, speaking to selected media earlier today during his pre-match press conference. He confirmed that Marc Cucurella will miss the weekend's clash, but explained that Cole Palmer and Reece James are both fit and available for selection.

And the duo were pictured on the grass, amongst the likes of Trevoh Chalobah, Alejandro Garnacho, Jorrel Hato, Pedro Neto and Joao Pedro.

Chelsea vs. Burnley: Preview, Predictions and Lineups

Chelsea continue their push for Champions League qualification when relegation favourites Burnley visit Stamford Bridge.

Liam Rosenior’s perfect Premier League record was dramatically halted last week as Chelsea surrendered a two-goal lead at home to Leeds United, with the Blues needing to respond by clinching victory over the Clarets. Three points would move them into fourth place before Manchester United’s trip to Everton on Monday night.

Chelsea took out their frustrations on an unfortunate Hull City side in the FA Cup fourth round—the 4–0 triumph will have lifted the mood following the Leeds collapse—but there was no respite for Burnley, who crashed out of the competition at home to League One Mansfield Town.

Everton Predicted Lineup vs Burnley For December 27

Everton are on the road, heading to Turf Moor to face Burnley. The home side sit second bottom of the table, with a win in this game only capable of taking them to 18th. There’s a lot more in it for the Toffees, who currently occupy the 10th spot on the table and are in desperate need of some points after a mixed bag of results recently. Here is our predicted Everton lineup.

Everton have focused on vertical compactness this season in an attempt to reduce the risk of central attacks, typically setting up in a 4-2-3-1, moving to a 4-4-2 when out of possession. They followed this set-up in their previous game against league leaders Arsenal.

James Garner excellent as teammate proves why David Moyes isn't keen – Everton player ratings vs Burnley

Jack Grealish was an absentee for Everton when they travelled to Turf Moor, looking to bounce back from the 1-0 loss to Arsenal last time out.

Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gueye were away from Everton at the Africa Cup of Nations, and David Moyes opted to give Tyler Dibling a rare start, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall also out.

Beto was another change, with the Guinea-Bissau forward getting the nod over Thierno Barry, who has been the preferred option.

It was clear that the Toffees were missing their star men as they were frustrated by the relegation strugglers.

James Garner has been linked with an Everton exit, with Manchester United keen on bringing him back to Old Trafford.
