    Colorectal cancer is now the leading cause of cancer death in the US for people under 50, according to a new analysis from the American Cancer Society, prompting both experts and those in that age group with the disease to warn others to take certain symptoms seriously.

    Becca Lynch, who works in cyber security in Denver, Colorado, was diagnosed with advanced colon cancer last year, when she was just 29. At first, she assumed her symptoms couldn’t be anything serious: “I chalked it up to stress,” she said.

    Following a routine colonoscopy in January last year, St. Clair Shores resident Britta Wofford learned doctors found a mass in her colon that they suspected was cancer.

    They biopsied it, and they were right. Wofford, a wife and the mother of three young girls, was diagnosed with Stage I colon cancer. She was only 45.

    Ahead of James Reyne’s The Fall of Crawl Tour, which kicks off this weekend, the Australian Crawl frontman has announced he’s been forced to reschedule four shows on doctor’s orders.

    His Penrith, Sydney, Adelaide and Bellarine shows have moved back to allow Reyne time to have the necessary procedures and treatment due to an ongoing medical condition.

    “By way of explanation as to why we’ve moved some of The Fall Of Crawl shows; I’ve had a Basal Cell Carcinoma diagnosed on the skin under my left eye, a consequence of a lifetime in the sun,” explains Reyne.

    Aussie rock legend James Reyne has postponed a string of tour dates after announcing he has cancer.

    The Australian Crawl singer revealed the news to his social media followers on Tuesday, saying he was set to undergo surgery following skin cancer diagnosis.

    Several tour dates across the 68-year-old's ‘Fall Of Crawl’ tour have been postponed.

    “By way of explanation as to why we’ve moved some of the Fall Of Crawl shows; I’ve had a Basal Cell Carcinoma diagnosed on the skin under my left eye, a consequence of a lifetime in the sun,” Reyne wrote.

    Veteran presenter James Valentine has announced his retirement after more than 30 years on ABC Radio after undergoing treatment for cancer.

    Apart from brief stints on Breakfast and Mornings, Valentine made the Afternoons program his own with popular talkback segments such as Rant and This is What I Live With.

    A special retrospective will air on Friday showcasing the best moments from his past programs.
