    Weekend two of Coachella is nearly upon us, and if the first weekend was anything to go by, we’re in for a spectacle. As one of the festival’s 2026 headliners, all eyes were on Sabrina Carpenter last weekend—and the pop star’s theatrical performance more than delivered.

    She opened night one in Indio, California by transforming the main stage into a glitzy, Hollywood-inspired set, complete with a sweeping, Hollywood Hills–esque “Sabrinawood” backdrop and a Walk of Fame-style runway.

    Indeed, when Carpenter made her Coachella debut in 2024, the Disney kid turned pop icon vowed that the next time she played the desert festival, her name would be atop the bill.

    She returned as promised this weekend as one of music’s biggest acts, with two No. 1 singles and a pair of Grammy-nominated albums under her belt and a story to tell about her rise to stardom.

Carpenter is a famously cheeky performer – her music, chock-full of double entendres and witty punchlines, is as much musical comedy as pop – but it seems, for once, that she was dead serious. Just two years later, she returned to the desert as the calling card for this year’s opening night, tongue still firmly in cheek. “I can’t believe I’m headlining Coachella!” she exclaimed to cheers that, true to form, she immediately melted to laughs – “Actually, I can … but it’s nicer to say that, right?”

    Sabrina Carpenter Goes Bling Ring in New “House Tour” Video

    Sabrina Carpenter is celebrating her headlining set at this weekend’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival with a new music video. “House Tour,” a song off the pop star’s latest album, Man’s Best Friend, gets a visual treatment directed by Margaret Qualley and Carpenter herself.     In the clip, which was directed by Carpenter and Qualley, we see the singer pulling up to a luxorious mansion in a pink van emblazoned with the words “Pretty Girl Cleanup.” She’s soon joined by her pals, and the three proceed to have a wild girls’ night out while they ransack the house, taking baths, trying on clothes, swimming in the pool and even stealing a Grammy (possibly a winking reference to Carpenter being shut out at this year’s awards, although she won two last year).

    In a snippet shared to Instagram, Carpenter drives a pink van, accompanied by actresses Margaret Qualley (who’s coincidentally married to “House Tour” producer Jack Antonoff) and Madelyn Cline. While their official destination is unknown, fans can deduce from the snippet that the trio are up to no good. As they drive, a voice on the radio warns listeners to lock their doors.

    Sabrina Carpenter tucked a few blink-and-you-miss-it details into her “Manchild” video. On Thursday, the pop star teamed up with Vevo for a new Footnotes episode, sharing her favorite outfits and the inpspiration about the Man’s Best Friend single’s visual.

    “The shoot was intended to be a 2-day shoot, but ended up being a three-day shoot once I realized I wanted more scenes in it. It was 35!!! outfits total,” Carpenter revealed at the start of the video. “My sister also hand-stitched ‘manchild’ on my jean shorts.”

    Her favorite look, however, was “the red sequin dress from the bridge scene,” she said, though Carpenter noted that “the whole video was built around the white tie-up shirt and jean shorts.”

    Pop star Sabrina Carpenter is enjoying the success of yet another album. Her first single from her latest album, “Manchild,” has been nominated for a Grammy for Best Music Video.
