    The first women's major of 2026 is in its second day. The 2026 Chevron Championship has a stellar field on a solid golf course, where the first 18 holes were played in mud-ball conditions.

    The Chevron was first played in 1972 as the Colgate-Dinah Shore Winner's Circle. It became an LPGA major in 1983 as the Nabisco Dinah Shore. It was later called the Nabisco Championship, then the Kraft Nabisco Championship and then the ANA Inspiration before Chevron signed on as title sponsor.

    Australia's World No. 6, Minjee Lee, has withdrawn from ‌the LA Championship prior to the ‌start of the second round. No reason was provided by the LPGA Tour.

    Lee, 29, was ‌tied for ‌40th ⁠after she posted a ​three-under-par 69 in Thursday's first round at the El Caballero Country Club in Tarzana, California. She carded six birdies and three bogeys, including one on the 18th hole.

    Minjee Lee Has Withdrawn From the JM Eagle LA Championship

    Earlier today, the LPGA Tour's official communications team announced that three-time major winner Minjee Lee has withdrawn from the JM Eagle LA Championship.

    It comes as a bit of a surprise, especially seen as though Lee played well during Thursday's first round. The 29-year-old carded six birdies, and three bogeys, including one on the 18th hole.

    She was six shots off of clubhouse leader Chizzy Iwai, who had an electrifying day around El Cab, that included five consecutive birdies and an eagle to close out her first nine holes.

    Michigan students cram in homework before big game in Indianapolis

    Indianapolis — Hours before Monday night's NCAA men's basketball championship game and about 270 miles away from campus, University of Michigan students were cramming to finish assignments in the lobby of the team hotel.

    Connor Couch, a junior in the university's Ross School of Business, took up a table in the lobby with a posterboard and markers. Although he had several assignments, including the posterboard due the next day, he said there was no way he couldn't be in Indianapolis to watch the basketball team attempt to win their first championship in decades.

    "My best friend got free tickets to the game, that's something you can't pass up," he said. "It's a once-in-a-lifetime game."
