LIVE on FS1: '26 Classic starts with Chinese Taipei vs. Australia

The World Baseball Classic is finally here and the first game could have a huge impact on how Pool C shakes out. Australia finished second in the Tokyo pool in 2023, while Chinese Taipei – which upset Japan to win the 2024 Premier12 inside the Tokyo Dome – was relegated to a Qualifier after tiebreakers went against the team in a five-way tie.

While 2024 No. 1 overall MLB Draft pick Travis Bazzana made his senior national team debut for Australia at the 2024 Premier12, this will be his World Baseball Classic debut – something he had dreamed about and kept a note about in his phone while back in college.

2026 World Baseball Classic scores, schedule: How to watch every game, including Team USA

The 2026 World Baseball Classic opens Wednesday night as Chinese Taipei and Australia kick off the international event that's drawing more interest than ever on the tail of the Olympics.

Team USA has put together its most star-studded roster in the history of the tournament, led by captain Aaron Judge (Yankees) and highlighted by stars including Cal Raleigh (Mariners), Bobby Witt Jr. (Royals), Kyle Schwarber (Phillies), Pete Crow-Armstrong (Cubs) and more. The rotation, meanwhile, is headlined by Tarik Skubal (Tigers) and Paul Skenes (Pirates).

Will that be enough to take down the defending champions, Team Japan, with a roster that includes Shohei Ohtani (Dodgers), Yoshinobu Yamamoto (Dodgers) and Seiya Suzuki (Cubs)? Can the Dominican Republic, led by Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (Blue Jays), Fernando Tatis Jr. (Padres), Juan Soto (Mets) and Julio Rodríguez (Mariners), return to dominance?

Jurassic Park: Classic Games Collection To Be Delisted Just Two Years After Release

Just over two years after it was released on Switch and other platforms, Limited Run Games' Jurassic Park: Classic Games Collection is getting delisted from digital storefronts. The publisher and distributor announced the news on Steam (thanks Wario64) earlier today.

From 31st March 2026, you'll no longer be able to purchase the game digitally. However, if you already own it (physically or digitally) or buy it before 31st March, you'll be able to redownload and play it at any point.

No reason for the delisting was given, but it's likely due to licensing rights expiring, similar to what happened with Bill & Ted's Excellent Retro Collection a few years back.

Jurassic Park Games Bundle Is Only $6 and About to Be Delisted

Licensed games getting delisted is basically an inevitability. It’s often just a matter of time. And for the Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection, that time is less than three years. This bundle of seven retro games from the seminal film series is being pulled off digital storefronts in the very near future across all platforms. However, there are ways to get this title on the cheap before Limited Run Games yanks it for good.

As noted on a post on its Steam listing, the Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection will be pulled from all digital storefronts across PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on March 31st, 2026. Even though that is less than two months away, Limited Run said it wanted to be “as open and transparent as possible” and “provide plenty of notice for changes like this.” Anyone who owns it digitally on any platform will still be able to download it after it gets pulled, as is often the case in these situations.

PS5 Losing 7 Games Forever, Grab Them While You Can

PlayStation 5 owners are losing seven classic games next month, leaving just weeks to add them to your collection before they’re gone for good.

I feel like I’ve said it enough over the past couple years at GAMINGbible but I adore classic video games. I’ve got a growing collection of physical game media but also an admiration for digital collections. I think I’ll always prefer playing a game on its intended hardware, but I can’t argue that digital collections are cheaper, more accessible, and better for capture if I want to share a clip online.

This is why I’m sad to see a genuinely good digital collection getting delisted next month, not just for PlayStation consoles but for Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC too.

World Baseball Classic: Former Chicago Cub Javier Báez among players left off Puerto Rico's WBC roster over insurance coverage

Francisco Lindor and Carlos Correa will also not play in World Baseball Classic

NEW YORK — Francisco Lindor, Carlos Correa and Javy Báez, a member of the 2016 Chicago Cubs World Series champion team, were left off Puerto Rico's roster for the World Baseball Classic over insurance coverage, while defending champion Japan entered a top group Thursday led by World Series champions Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

Cy Young Award winners Paul Skenes and Tarik Skubal head what appears to be the strongest pitching staff the United States has had in the six editions of the tournament. American position players include AL MVP Aaron Judge, the U.S. captain, along with Bryce Harper and Bobby Witt Jr. Mike Trout, the 2023 U.S. captain, was left off.

Phillies notes: Moore adds depth, Robertson retires, WBC ahead

Phillies Talk podcast co-hosts Spencer McKercher and Sean Kane analyze the team’s decision to “run it back” in 2026. They discuss the impact of re-signing veterans Kyle Schwarber and J.T. Realmuto, the addition of Adolis García, and whether the current roster is enough to chase a championship.

Like every winter, clubs stockpile minor-league deals. As the offseason drags on and free agents remain unsigned, those opportunities tend to become more creative.

The Phillies agreed to a minor-league deal with free-agent utility man Dylan Moore, according to Will Sammon of The Athletic. This contract stands apart from many of Philadelphia’s recent minor-league signings.

How do MLB teams view their players’ involvement in the World Baseball Classic?

These days, the debate is growing over players who confirm their presence at the World Baseball Classic (WBC) versus those who choose to stay in Spring Training. Multiple factors influence both decisions: representing your country and its flag, or preparing properly for a successful MLB season, which already has a grueling seven-month schedule.

After speaking with several organizations and their development departments, I’ll summarize here how the WBC is viewed within the system and what the approach of many organizations looks like.

Cases like Carlos Correa, Bo Bichette, and Tatsuya Imai will be analyzed.
