    3 new fights added to UFC 331, including Gable Steveson’s sophomore appearance

    The UFC has announced three new fights for its upcoming numbered event in Los Angeles on Sept. 19, including the second octagon appearance of Gable Steveson and the promotional return of Robelis Despaigne.

    Steveson will take on Sean Sharaf, while Despaigne takes on octagon veteran Tai Tuivasa. The other bout officially announced for the line-up is a middleweight showdown between Ryan Gandra and Ozzy Diaz.

    UFC 331 will take place at the crypto.com Arena and air live on Paramount+, but the company has yet to reveal the headlining attraction.

    Wrestling great Steveson (4-0) made short work of Elisha Ellison in the undercard Conor McGregor vs. Max Holloway 2 in July in his first UFC bout, winning by first-round knockout. All his MMA fights lasted less than four minutes.

    Renato Moicano vs. Brian Ortega 2 added to UFC 331

    Ortega (16-5 MMA, 8-5 UFC), a former two-time UFC featherweight title challenger, is moving up to the lightweight division to take on veteran Renato Moicano (21-7-1 MMA, 13-7 UFC) in a rematch Sept. 19 at UFC 331 in Los Angeles. UFC officials announced the rematch on Wednesday.

    This bout was originally expected to go down in March at UFC 326, but Ortega withdrew due to injury. Ortega and Moicano fought back in 2017. Ortega submitted Moicano in a bout that won Fight of the Night.

    Ortega's move to lightweight has been talked about for several years, as he'd had trouble making 145 pounds. In his last outing last August, Ortega was unable to make the featherweight cut, thus pushing his bout with Aljamain Sterling to a 153-pound catchweight bout. Ortega lost the fight by unanimous decision. "T-City" finds himself on a two-fight losing streak and 1-4 in his past five bouts.

    Founded in 2016, Bitcoin Depot was once North America's largest bitcoin ATM operator. Now, the Georgia-based company has voluntarily filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. This raises many questions, from 'how did we get here?' to 'and what exactly does an ATM for cryptocurrency do?'

    Putting it simply, whereas a traditional ATM dispenses physical currency, a bitcoin ATM doesn't dispense anything but can be used to facilitate blockchain transactions. These machines can incur pretty steep fees on top of the actual transaction, though not even these have been able to keep Bitcoin Depot afloat.

    Bitcoin Depot announced today that the company's assets are to be sold, and operations wound down via bankruptcy proceedings due to an increase in regulation. CEO Alex Holmes said, "States have imposed increasingly stringent compliance obligations for [Bitcoin Teller Machine operators], including new transaction limits, and in some jurisdictions, outright restrictions or bans on BTM operations, and operators have faced increasing litigation and regulatory enforcement."

    Bitcoin Depot Files for Bankruptcy Amid Fraud, Legal Costs, and Regulatory Pressures

    Bitcoin ATM company, Bitcoin Depot, filed for Chapter 11 protection on May 18 in the Southern District of Texas, announcing it would wind down operations and sell assets, and that its kiosk network, with over 9,000 locations globally as of August 2025, would go offline the same day.

    A May 12 SEC disclosure showed that first-quarter revenue fell 49.2% year over year, gross profit collapsed by 85.5%, and management flagged “substantial doubt” about the company's ability to continue as a going concern. The net loss for the quarter was $9.5 million, compared with net income of $12.2 million a year earlier.

    Bitcoin Depot tied the deterioration to state and municipal restrictions, lower transaction limits, enhanced identity verification requirements, litigation, and more than $20 million in accrued legal judgments.

The best Bitcoin ETFs charge between 0.15% and 0.25% per year, or $1.50 to $2.50 for every $1,000 invested. It's not too costly, but it's a small drag on performance you won't have if you buy Bitcoin itself.

    MicroStrategy Is Down 56.9% YTD, Yet Still Buying Bitcoin by the Billions

    A popular Reddit investment, Strategy (NASDAQ:MSTR) has lost 56.9% of its value, recently trading near $138, yet continues to buy bitcoin at a pace that has made it the largest U.S. equity issuer for two consecutive years. Reddit's composite sentiment score sits at 28 out of 100, firmly bearish, with debate concentrated in derivatives communities. The central question: can the company's "BTC Yield" metric, which measures bitcoin per-diluted-share growth, outpace the dilution required to generate it?

    Strategy's FY2025 BTC Yield came in at 22.8%, meaning each share represents more bitcoin than a year ago, however, the company's own target was 30%. More importantly, the firm raised $25.3 billion in capital during 2025 and now holds 713,502 BTC. The cost: a 52.6% expansion in share count in 2025 alone, from roughly 192.5 million to nearly 294 million shares, all while Q4 produced a $12.44 billion net loss driven by a $17.44 billion unrealized loss on digital assets as bitcoin prices fell late in the year.

    Binance to roll out silver perpetual contract with up to 50x leverage

    Binance, the largest centralized exchange by trading volume, announced it will list XAGUSDT perpetual futures contract on January 7 as part of its broader effort to expand trading offerings for traders on its platform. 

    Binance exchange has added a new listing through its Binance Futures in a bid to expand its offerings to traders, investors, and other market participants. The exchange revealed it will list XAGUSDT perpetual futures contracts on January 7 at 10:00 UTC.

    The exchange stated that the new offering will utilize silver (XAG) as its underlying asset, whose price will track the value of one ounce of Silver.

    According to an official announcement from the exchange, the offering’s tick size will be 0.01, and the minimum trade amount will be 0.001 XAG. Binance announced that the perpetual futures contract will have a minimum notional value of 5 USDT and a capped funding rate of +2.00%/-2.00 %, with funding fees settled every four hours.
