    Live: Diamonds play Constellation Cup on home soil

    Australia is trailing New Zealand in the Constellation Cup 2-0 and fighting to keep hold of the coveted trophy in game three in Sydney.

    Well, well, well. Stacey Marinkovich spoke about how important those first five minutes were and they had to scramble to make changes in the first 30 seconds when Moloney busted her stitches but the Diamonds did SO WELL to get on with it. Sophie Dwyer has been great so far, considering she was expecting to sit on the bench for most of this game,  to come on and make an impact that quickly she was a shining light in that first quarter.

    Price, Garrett, to miss Con Cup Match 3

    The Australian Diamonds have made one change to their team leading into the third test of the Constellation Cup.

    Defender Matilda Garrett is unavailable due to concussion, while Jamie-Lee Price remains unavailable with a calf injury. The Diamonds will welcome shooter Cara Koenen back into the game day 12.

    While acknowledging the impact of player availability on the makeup of her group, Diamonds head coach Stacey Marinkovich noted that her first priority was supporting Garrett and Price.

    “Selection is about working with what’s available to you at the time. This isn’t the balance we’d normally go with, but we’ll adapt and get on with it.

    Series hopes take hit as concussed Diamond ruled out of do-or-die clash – Constellation Cup LIVE

    She joins Jamie-Lee Price (calf) on the sidelines for today’s do-or-die clash, leaving coach Stacey Marinkovich with four goalers on her bench of just five players.

    Diamonds address dress, Games debutant stars in big win

    Just as they dismantled Tonga and medal contenders England, Australia soared to victory on Wednesday morning (AEST) to fire off another warning to bitter rivals New Zealand.

    The netball world No.1 outfit have now won three of their five pool matches at the Hydro, where they are set to stroll into the semi-finals.

    South Africa, undefeated so far, are up next for overwhelming gold medal favourites Australia.

    After players were seen consistently adjusting the dress during their opening matches, Netball Australia backed the Valour uniform in a brief statement that was released on behalf of the team before the Malawi match.

    Diamonds star hoses down awkward Games uniform issue

    The Australian Diamonds quest to defend their Commonwealth Games gold has been overshadowed by a mishap with the team’s dresses, but shooter Sophie Garbin insists the clothing controversy is not impacting the team.

    It did not take long for fans to notice Diamonds players were constantly pulling down their dresses when they defeated Tonga 99-38 over the weekend.

    Players inside the circle spent the majority of the game with their dresses riding up to their hips.

    The issue did not just occur for those who were taking shots or defending, with midcourt players also spotted battling the same issue as they ran around.

    We’ve just started the final quarter in the netball, with Australia now leading 56-36. They really are phenomenally good.

    Soon to get going we’ve got the final of the men’s all-around nastics; this should be a lot of fun.

    Australia are just so economical in the semi-circle, now leading England 52-34.This could get messy.
