Harry Winks faces backlash after X-rated confrontation with Leicester fans following Portsmouth defeat

Harry Winks was involved in a heated confrontation with Leicester City supporters following the club's latest defeat at Portsmouth. The former Tottenham midfielder reacted furiously to comments made by fans as the squad boarded the team bus at Fratton Park.

In a video that has quickly gone viral on social media, Winks can be seen heading back onto the team coach following the 1-0 loss. While some fans offered sarcastic partings, others were more direct, leading to the ten-cap England international snapping at his own supporters. The midfielder was filmed pointing at individuals and shouting: "You f*ck off."

The exchange did not end there, as a clearly enraged Winks continued to fire back at the shouting crowd. He was seen gesturing and yelling: "Shut the f*ck up. Shut up, f*ck off."

After sustained heatwaves in the north-west in January, Mildura is again expecting temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius tomorrow, while Shepparton in northern Victoria is expecting 39C.

BP faces calls for new strategy to end period of turbulence

Full-year results expected to reveal weaker profits as company also faces investor pressure over climate U-turn

BP will face pressure from shareholders to prove it can leave a turbulent period in the past as it prepares to reveal its full-year results this week.

The company is expected to follow industry rivals by reporting weaker annual profits after global oil prices fell for a third consecutive year in 2025, in the steepest decline recorded since the Covid pandemic.

City analysts forecast BP profits of about $7.5bn (£5.5bn), down from almost $9bn in 2024, following an expected slump in fourth-quarter earnings after crude prices fell below $60 a barrel for the first time in almost five years.

Investors challenge bp over oil and gas spending

INSTITUTIONAL investors have filed a legal challenge against bp over what they describe as “undisciplined” capital allocation to oil and gas projects.

bp recently announced it would increase its spending on its upstream business by 17%, reallocating funds previously committed to clean energy investments.

Funds managing almost £200bn (US$270bn) in assets – including Nest, London CIV, Wales Pension Partnership, Greater Manchester Pension Fund, Merseyside Pension Fund and Pensions Authority Publica (PUBLICA) – have filed a shareholder resolution calling on the company to demonstrate how increased spending on upstream operations will enhance shareholder value.

The investors say they are “unconvinced” that prioritising oil and gas investment will address bp’s recent underperformance.

Yellowstone National Park Faces Cancellations As NPS Warning Comes True Due To Bizarre Phenomenon

On December 10, the National Park Service (NPS) updated its website for Yellowstone National Park, warning that "the accumulation of snowfall on roads varies across the park."

While Yellowstone recently had plenty to celebrate as the government lost in the national parks' conservation efforts against an "illegal" threat, the NPS's warning about snowfall in the park is a worrying status update on varying snow depths, and it's since come true—and that isn't so great for visitors with certain booked activities.

With such little snow (which is a bizarre weather phenomenon for the park at this time of the year), Yellowstone's winter opening is minimal, restricting snowmobile and snowcoach access, prompting tour cancellations, and pushing visitors to dry-land activities like biking and roller-skiing until winter conditions return.

The thermometer had read 8°F just after dawn, and it was still bone-chilling when we’d begun cross-country skiing. Yet here we were, in the dead of winter, near the geographical center of Yellowstone National Park, stripping off our clothes. This wasn’t a crazed reaction to hypothermia—it was a perfectly sane response to arriving at a creek just below a thermal spring, where the water was a perfect 104°.

Sure, we were shivering for a moment as we undressed, but the second we dipped into that creek, with waters warmed from the spring just upstream, we giggled like kids and our hard-working muscles relaxed.
