First trailer for Aaron Sorkin’s Facebook sequel The Social Reckoning

Oscar winner Mikey Madison and Jeremy Strong to star in film focused on fallout from whistleblower Frances Haugen

The first trailer for Aaron Sorkin’s eagerly anticipated follow-up to The Social Network has landed.

The Social Reckoning has been described as a film that isn’t a “straight sequel” but one that will still revisit Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook.

The drama is based on the Wall Street Journal series The Facebook Files, which examined the damage caused by the social networking site and how internal findings had been buried.

Zuckerberg will be played by the Succession star Jeremy Strong who was also Oscar-nominated for his performance in The Apprentice. “It’s one of the great scripts I’ve ever read,” Strong said last year. “It speaks to our time, it touches the third rail of everything happening in our world.”

‘The Social Reckoning’ Trailer: Jeremy Strong Is Mark Zuckerberg in Aaron Sorkin’s ‘Social Network’ Sequel

Sixteen years after “The Social Network” chronicled the rise of Facebook, audiences are getting their first look at its highly anticipated follow-up.

Sony Pictures has unveiled the trailer for “The Social Reckoning,” a sequel to the 2010 Oscar-winning drama that again turns its focus to the social media giant, this time examining the whistleblower revelations that emerged as the platform matured into a global force.

The film stars Mikey Madison, Jeremy Allen White, Bill Burr and Jeremy Strong. Strong takes over the role of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, succeeding Jesse Eisenberg, who led the original film.

Aaron Sorkin returns to the franchise doing double duty as both writer and director, expanding his role after winning an Academy Award for best adapted screenplay for “The Social Network.” The film tells the true story of former Facebook engineer Frances Haugen (Madison) and Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horwitz (White), whose reporting exposed the company’s internal research and decision-making. Their work culminated in “The Facebook Files,” a 2021 investigative series revealing Facebook’s harmful effects on teens and its role in spreading misinformation, including content linked to political violence.

Jeremy Strong's Mark Zuckerberg is older, wiser, but no more likable in The Social Reckoning teaser

Our perception of Mark Zuckerberg has changed a lot since 2010. While back then he may have been thought of as a prickish, socially awkward wunderkind (or perhaps an enfant terrible) of the tech world, now he’s a socially awkward grown man who was one of the key figures in destabilizing our democracy in the past decade. Basically, he’s grown from a Jesse Eisenberg character into a Jeremy Strong character in the time between 2010’s The Social Network and 2026’s The Social Reckoning. We got the first teaser for the new film this morning, which shows a different Zuck—though not a more pleasant one—as he prepares to go to battle against Mikey Madison and Jeremy Allen White.

Cadillac lose first F1 point after Perez penalty in Monaco

Sergio Perez finished an action-packed Monaco Grand Prix in 10th position, only to be penalised after the race.

Cadillac have lost what initially marked their first point in F1 after Sergio Perez picked up a post-race time penalty in Monaco for an infringement at the final race restart.

Perez moved into points contention across Sunday afternoon’s incident-packed Grand Prix around the streets of the Principality, which featured multiple crashes, Safety Cars and a red flag.

He eventually crossed the line in 10th place, earning Cadillac a valuable point, but was subsequently investigated for being out of position on the grid at the restart after the red flag.

Sergio Perez has been stripped of his 10th-place finish in the Monaco Grand Prix following a post-race 10-second time penalty.

The punishment for a false start drops Perez to the back of the field and promotes Fernando Alonso into 10th place, securing Aston Martin's first point of the 2026 season.

Isack Hadjar has also escaped punishment for an alleged red-flag infringement, with the stewards deciding to take no further action.

First of five survivors rescued from flooded Laos cave

One survivor has been safely guided out of a remote cave in Laos after a group of villagers became trapped by flash flooding over a week ago.

Five of the villagers were found huddled together in a pitch-black chamber above the murky waters on Wednesday.

Rescuers on a multinational team have suspended the complex operation to free the other four known survivors until Saturday, while two more people are still missing.

Rescue divers in Laos have safely evacuated the first of five local villagers who had been trapped in a cave for more than a week by floodwaters.

Laotian and Thai rescue workers posted the news on social media on Friday, along with a video showing the first rescued villager with a lamp strapped to his forehead.

Man is ‘safe and sound’ after perilous operation, leaving four inside a small chamber and two still to be located

The first of seven men who have been trapped in a flooded cave in Laos for more than a week has been brought to safety by divers, in a perilous rescue mission that has required teams to crawl through narrow, deluged tunnels, navigating sharp rocks and collapse hazards.

Four men remain inside a chamber about 300 metres (980ft) from the cave entrance, where they were found crouched and huddled together on a rocky ledge by rescuers on Wednesday. Two men are yet to be located.

Mission ‘almost impossible’: Time running out for Laos cave survivors

Fumbling for hours through a flooded cave, Keo thought he was about to die. He was the only who made it out – and rescuing seven others trapped may take days.

Phanchai village, Laos: The mission to extract five survivors trapped in a flooded cave complex in Laos hinges on centimetres. In one particularly long passage, Finnish diver Mikko Paasi will make himself thin, arms stretched long, and chin tucked tight. “That one’s feet-first all the way in,” he says.

Some nooks along the route to the men, who have been inside the cave since May 20, have only the smallest of air pockets. With minimal oxygen in the tanks, “if it rains, you’re going to drown there”.

Brian Norman Jr predicts first round KO in Errol Spence vs Tim Tszyu: “He’s going to sleep”

Former welterweight world champion Brian Norman Jr. doesn’t see the fight between Errol Spence Jr and Tim Tszyu lasting long when they meet this summer.

Spence last fought in July 2023 when he competed for the undisputed welterweight title, but he was comprehensively outclassed and beaten by long-term rival Terence Crawford, who went on to further strengthen his legacy and establish himself as an all-time great while Spence was inactive.

The former unified champion now looks to get back on track as he returns from three years out at a catchweight of 158lbs against Tszyu in Australia.

Speaking to Fight Hub TV, Norman, who has been sparring Spence in recent weeks, believes that his fellow American will get the job done inside three minutes.

Brian Norman Jr Backs Errol Spence to Stop Tim Tszyu

Former welterweight champion Brian Norman Jr. believes Errol Spence Jr. is going to make a statement when he returns against Tim Tszyu this summer in Australia.

Spence has not fought since his one-sided loss to Terence Crawford in July 2023 for the undisputed welterweight championship. The former unified champion is now preparing to return after a long layoff in a 158-pound catchweight fight against Tszyu on July 25.

Norman says the version of Spence he has seen recently in training camp looks dangerous, and he doesn’t expect the fight to last long.

“You’re definitely going to see a different version of Errol. I feel like he is going to be better than he was in the past,” said Norman Jr. to Fight Hub TV. “What I mean by that is, first-round knockout coming soon.”

Anastasia Potapova faces Maya Joint in French Open first round at Paris

Anastasia Potapova enters her French Open first-round matchup against Maya Joint on May 25, 2026, carrying a decisive edge in clay-court mastery and recent form. The 28-ranked Austrian boasts a 65.8% win rate on clay courts over her career, while the 20-year-old Australian faces this encounter struggling through a form crisis that has seen her win just 2 of her last 11 matches—with zero clay wins in 2026. The two players have never met, setting up an intriguing first encounter at Roland Garros.

Anastasia Potapova has built her reputation as one of the tour’s most reliable clay-court competitors. Her 65.8% win-loss record on clay reflects not just comfort on the surface, but genuine expertise in the nuances of play on the red dirt. This season, she has posted a 21-12 overall record, with notable recent victories over Lilli Tagger and Donna Vekic in April—both solid opponents that demonstrate her capacity to handle top competition. At age 25, Potapova brings maturity and experience to Roland Garros, having competed at the tournament for multiple years. Her pathway to a strong performance at Paris is built on clay-surface proficiency that few on the women’s tour can match.

Epic Games Unveils Next-Generation 'Unreal Engine 6'

Epic Games has officially unveiled its next-generation game engine, Unreal Engine 6 (UE6). It is the successor to Unreal Engine 5 (UE5), which was officially released in 2022.

Unexpectedly, the reveal took place not at a developer conference, but at an esports event. During the 'Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) 2026 Paris Major' on the 24th, Epic Games used the intermission to debut a teaser video for UE6, marking its first official confirmation. While this was the first time the engine was showcased using an actual partner game, no technical specifications or release dates were provided.
