Ryan Fitzpatrick on Bo Nix’s night: “That right there is garbage”

The Broncos won on Thursday night, beating the defending Super Bowl champions in overtime. But the victory comes with a major asterisk; Denver’s offense continues to be not good enough.

As Ryan Fitzpatrick of Prime Video put it after the game, quarterback Bo Nix is not good enough.

“Bo Nix is not playing competitively,” Fitzpatrick said, growing increasingly animated as he went. “It’s almost disrespectful to the quarterback position how he’s playing quarterback right now. . . . He has no trust from his coach, he calls a screen play on third and eight. . . . Now they’re in the locker room right now, they’re excited. They won. He’s not playing competitive football right now. . . . I can only imagine how Sean Payton feels. I mean, Sean Payton, [offensive coordinatpr] Davis Webb, everybody that blocks for him. He’s not competing right now. And that’s something that he’s hung his hat on for the last two years. I don’t know if he’s still injured. I don’t know what’s going on. But it’s not good enough. It’s effort.”

Bo Nix Season-low passing yardage in OT win

Nix completed 17 of 27 passes for 107 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions and rushed four times for two yards in the Broncos' 17-14 overtime win over the Seahawks on Thursday. He also recovered a fumble.

Nix continued his season-long trend of sticking to mostly short-area passes, leading to a season-low passing yardage figure and figure of 4.0 yards per attempt. The third-year signal-caller did reverse a trend of three straight games with sub-60.0 percent completion rates, but Nix also failed to throw a touchdown for the first time all season. Denver's defense did most of the heavy lifting and both of the Broncos' touchdowns came on the ground, while Nix now has three sub-200-yard passing efforts in the last four contests. The Oregon product should have a good chance of boosting his numbers in Week 7, however, as the Broncos visit the defensively challenged Cardinals on Sunday, Oct. 25.

Rep. Fitzpatrick Calls For Coalition Government, Talks Pres. Trump's Comments On 'Big Personal Favor'

In a new interview, Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick mentioned the replacement of the American two-party system with a coalition government.

In an profile published last week and appearing in Philadelphia Magazine’s February print issue, the five-term Republican congressman argued that the country has devolved into a “zero-sum, all-or-nothing game” that fails to represent a divided electorate.

“The two-party system needs to go away,” Fitzpatrick told the magazine. “We need to move to a coalition government.”

The Middletown Township native, who represents the First Congressional District, cited George Washington’s 1796 farewell address as his inspiration. He noted that the Founding Fathers did not design the government to deal with the current divides.

The Republican from Bucks County is on a crusade to crush the roots of America's toxic partisan politics: the parties themselves.

Brian Fitzpatrick, the moderate Republican from Bucks County, has been ranked as the most bipartisan member of the House of Representatives — the member of Congress, in other words, who’s most likely to reach across the aisle and look for common ground with the other side.

Brian Fitzpatrick talks Trump’s ‘lack of moral clarity,’ November’s midterms, and his hatred for the two-party system in Philly Mag

Bucks County's representative in Congress also called the state of the FBI under Kash Patel "heartbreaking."

U.S. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick didn’t vote for President Donald Trump in 2024, penciling in former Ambassador Nikki Haley instead.

In 2020, he voted for Trump. Four years earlier, he wrote in former Vice President Mike Pence’s name instead of Trump.

Those decisions by the moderate Republican, who represents purple Bucks County and a sliver of Democratic-leaning Montgomery County, underscore Fitzpatrick’s unique relationship with and perspective of the president, Philadelphia Magazine reported Friday.

There are times when Fitzpatrick is blunt in his opposition, telling Philly Mag that Trump’s placation to Russian President Vladimir Putin is because of a “lack of moral clarity.”
