The Kyle and Jackie O Show's Intern Pete makes tearful on-air announcement weeks after show's end

He was a beloved fixture on The Kyle and Jackie O Show for years, but Intern Pete is officially jumping ship just weeks after the show's abrupt end.

Intern Pete, whose real name is Peter Deppeler, made the sad announcement during Monday morning's fill-in show with Mike E and Producer Mayo after 12 years on the job.

But he won't be leaving radio or indeed ARN completely, as he's heading to The Christian O'Connell Show on KIIS FM's sister station Gold FM instead.

"Well, it's time, I guess, for Intern Pete to graduate," Pete began, fighting back tears.

"To everyone who's listened over the years – thank you, genuinely. You are the reason Intern Pete became a thing in the first place. You made that name mean something, and I'll always be grateful. Nothing lasts forever, as this year's shown us…"

DOJ hasn't released some Epstein files related to a woman who made an allegation against Trump

WASHINGTON — The Department of Justice has not released summaries and notes from three separate interviews the FBI conducted with a South Carolina woman who alleged she was a sexual assault victim of Jeffrey Epstein and also made sexual abuse allegations against President Donald Trump, according to an NBC News analysis of the Epstein files and information provided by a source familiar with the investigation.

Those files are also not included in the unredacted collection available for members of Congress to view at the Department of Justice, according to Rep. Robert Garcia, D-Calif., the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee.

US justice department accused of withholding Trump-related Epstein files

The top Democrat on the congressional committee investigating Jeffrey Epstein has accused the US justice department of withholding files containing allegations of sexual abuse of a minor made against President Donald Trump.

Robert Garcia, who sits on the House Oversight Committee, said he had personally viewed documents containing the allegation that had not been made public.

In response, the justice department said "NOTHING has been deleted", adding that documents were withheld only if they were "duplicates, privileged, or part of an ongoing federal investigation".

Trump has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing in relation to the Epstein case and has recently said he has been "totally exonerated".
