    "It's unplayable": Reviewers criticize the console version of Crimson Desert

    Recent graphical improvements in Crimson Desert for PS5 have proven insufficient. The game suffers from frame rate issues, especially after adding FSR to the "60 FPS" mode. The publisher did not send out console copies before release, so for a long time, only reviews of the PC version were available online.

    The PushSquare editorial team even refused to review the PC version, buying the game on PS5 for a fair test.

    The results are disappointing: the publication gave the game a 6/10. Among the main drawbacks:

    On the base PS5, the performance mode offers constant frame tearing and extremely blurry 1080p. In quality mode with 30 FPS, the picture is more stable, but the textures remain low quality. The situation is no better on PS5 Pro: in large camps, the frame rate drops below 20 FPS.

    Within hours of US and Israeli strikes on Iran, Indonesia's President Prabowo Subianto had made a grand gesture in the hope of securing peace: offering up his services as a negotiator.

    Indonesia's foreign affairs ministry even suggested he'd be willing to fly to Tehran to facilitate mediation talks between the US and Iran.

    Fresh from pledging thousands of troops to the Donald Trump-led Board of Peace (BoP) last month, Prabowo has tried to insert Indonesia into resolving this latest war.

    It's not surprising, given the Indonesian president's clear ambitions on the world stage.

    With Indonesia marking the first year of Prabowo’s presidency, the ABC program examines the speed and scale of the transformation underway in one of Australia’s closest neighbours.

    A teenager has saved his mother and two younger siblings by making a four-hour swim to raise the alarm despite fading light and rough conditions after the family was swept out to sea in Western Australia.

    The Appelbee family were on holiday in Quindalup, 125 miles (200km) south of Perth, when strong winds pushed their inflatable paddleboards and kayak offshore from Geographe Bay on Friday afternoon.

    Joanne Appelbee, 47, asked her 13-year-old, Austin, to kayak back to shore to get help, but his boat soon took on water, forcing him to swim 2.5 miles back to land.

    Austin Appelbee, his mother and two siblings were swept out to sea off Quindalup in WA's South West.

    The 13-year-old has recounted swimming four kilometres to shore to get help for his family, who were rescued after spending up to 10 hours at sea.

    His mother Joanne said sending him to shore amid rough seas was "one of the hardest decisions" she has ever made.

    Teenage hero swims four kilometres to rescue family stranded in ocean off WA coast

    A mother and her two children have been rescued off the coast of a holiday hotspot in WA’s South West after her eldest child, who was swept out to sea with them, swam four kilometres back to shore in fading light to get help.

    Joanne Appelbee and her children had been kayaking and paddleboarding off Quindalup in Geographe Bay on Friday morning when they were swept out to sea in rough conditions.

    Speaking to media back home in Perth on Tuesday, Appelbee said the group had gone out for one last paddle and a bit of fishing, and the weather had seemed calm, before a board flipped, they lost an oar and their kayak began to take on water.

    Fans have continued to be left waiting in queues for hours on day two of the Australian Open, as the tournament continues to struggle with record crowds.

    Tournament boss Craig Tiley promised "extra resources" on the ground, urging fans to pre-purchase tickets online to ensure a seamless entry.

    Nine Australians are in action on day two of the Australian Open, including the top men's seed, Alex de Minaur.
