On Sunday, Suryakumar Yadav’s side will look to slide into top gear against West Indies to ride their way into the semifinal of T20 cricket’s biennial showpiece.

    The last league match of the tournament at the iconic Eden Gardens is virtually a quarterfinal with the winner taking the final spot in the Last Four to join South Africa, England and New Zealand in the penultimate stage of the event.

    West Indies, unbeaten in their campaign so far, seek a fourth consecutive victory in the encounter at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Reifer highlighted Hetmyer’s versatility, stating, “First, let me say, Hetmyer came with the youth cricket in 2016 as one of our best young batters in the Caribbean. Hetmyer is a proper batsman. It is just unfortunate that he was put into roles as a finisher. But now, you guys are seeing the best of Hetmyer in terms of his batsmanship.     Harry Brook, England's captain, has done some research and figured that's the way to go. "We had a look at the stats and it favours the team batting second so we'd like to have a chase tonight," he said.

    England have made one change from the side which eked out a four-run win over Nepal in their tournament opener, left-arm seamer Luke Wood making way for right-arm quick Jamie Overton, whose pinch-hitting ability at the end could come in handy.

    Notably, the 37-year-old pacer is featuring in his comeback Test.

    Roach, who claimed two wickets in his first outing, trapped the talismanic Kane Williamson for 9 to open his account.
    Hundreds from New Zealand skipper Tom Latham (145) and Rachin Ravindra (176) then put the hosts in command.
    Roach broke the 279-run stand by dismissing the former.
